Not at all hard to assemble, I didn't even look back at product photos, just looking at each piece it is obvious where it goes. This is a thick PVC type material, if you have a known chewer I would avoid any plastics but for calm pets with adequate enrichment chewing typically isn't an issue. There was a sligt crack in it I reenforced with some pet safe glue, not a fault of the product itself but amazons packaging jobs have been incredibly sloppy lately. The screws add extra reinforcement I have a wooden style house in another rodent enclosure that I wish had screws! As for not having tapped holes like some reviews state that is not at all necessary as the screws just easily go into the plastic. Small screwdrivers are also included. This will easily wipe clean. The set of two toys and a house is a great money saver for tank clutter. All in all I will be repurchasing this style for any future rodent homes! The colors are so sweet!

I loved putting this together, it was fun. They’re good quality. It’s perfect size for hamsters to play on.

Really cute! This is probably not something that will last long term. It is made out of a foam-like material. No directions but after a minute of looking at it I quickly figured out how to put it together. Great for mice or small hamsters.

Ok.. this is cute and it was quick to put together but if you have a gerbil... AVOID.1. this was eaten in less than 24 hours. I mean gone. gerbils are notorious for this but I was hoping for at least a week. this would be great for a hamster, or some small pet that is less destructive2. there are screws in this. again, if you have a creature that won't plow through something like this, then it's fine and not harmful but if you have gerbils, it's a big fat zero and is really dangerous.3. it's fragile to put together, it broke in one area, I was able to make it work but it's still note worthy.

My intended use for this product was for my hamster’s playpen. That way, he can free roam and explore, while I spot clean his cage. And, I was looking forward to it! :’)If you want a cheap and DURABLE hamster house or bridge as a permanent touch to your enclosure, I’d look elsewhere. ^^’Update: Luckily, the only thing that was broken is the bridge, which I super-glued together. The house is a little tricky to assemble and the instructions aren’t very clear, nor were they of use to me, but you get there! They provide you with the tools you need for assembly. Over-all, it’s super cute!

Super cute and perfect for my hamster, it comes with hardware to put together and it’s easy to snap together.

I was looking for a new mouse hideout that was easier to clean than the regular wood ones and saw this. First it didn't come with any instructions but I figured everything out buy pulling the photos up on here. One of the connectors snapped off so be very gentle when pushing them in to the slots. Second, this was in their cage for two days and they ate half the back of the house! Sadly, I only realized it because one of our two mice died last night. And while I'm not saying eating half a pvc/wood house that has who knows what kinds of paint or treatments on it is what did that to him, I'm just saying I'm sure it didn't help. So while this is cute, it's pretty small and I would not recommend it if your pets chew things up regularly.

This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It was easy to put together and kinda fun like a puzzle. It’s very sturdy high quality material for the price. I would buy again and I’ve already recommended it to several of my friends.
