Cards are severely oxidized
Product came severely oxidized. Amazon is allowing me to return it but this is really, really poor quality assurance. For $30 a pop for a piece of metal they can and should be doing better.

Important crypto backup tool. Nice thick copper cards.
If you're new to crypto and wondering what these are for, they are for backing up your crypto wallet seed phrase, which is a 24 (or 25) word phrase that can be used to restore access to your wallet in case you lose your primary method. It's VERY important that you NEVER share this phrase with anyone, because the phrase can be used to completely drain any crypto that you hold in your wallet. So don't take these cards to someone to be engraved because they will have the keys to all your crypto. Punch them yourself and keep them in a safe or safety deposit box, or somewhere extremely secure. For extra security you could buy some tamper-proof stickers and seal the copper cards in a box that you will know if it has been opened. You could of course just write your passphrase on a piece of paper and store it in a safe, but the problem with that is that in the event of a fire or flood, there's a chance the paper could become illegible. A stamped metal card is safer because it won't melt (barring some extreme chemically-driven industrial fire) and the copper won't rust. The copper will tarnish over time but as long as you punch nice clear letters into the card, your phrase will still be legible. Each numbered box on these copper cards is just over 5.5mm tall, so 4mm stamps are about the ideal size. There are some wallets that let you have a 25-word seed phrase and there are only 24 boxes on these cards, but you can easily stamp the 25th word on the bottom line in the "crypto" box.Chances are you don't have a 4mm or smaller metal letter punch set laying around, so you'll need to buy or borrow one to punch your seed phrase into these cards. There are plenty of inexpensive options available here on Amazon, and you'll only be stamping these once so it's probably not necessary to buy the more expensive, more durable stamps. If you want to spend the money you can splurge on a fancy kit, with a special mallet and a special metal surface, but you can do just fine with cheap stamps and a regular hammer. You want to hit the stamp firmly enough to make a clean impression on the first blow, as multiple strikes will make a messy imprint. The good thing about copper vs steel or titanium is that it's a soft metal so it's easy to stamp. These copper cards come in cheap little velvet pouches, which is the one thing I don't like about them. The bags are fine to protect the cards in shipping but I wouldn't use them for long-term storage because they would melt in a fire and might make it tricky to read your passphrase if they get melted plastic gunk all over the card. Not a likely scenario, but I'd still rather store the copper cards without the pouches. This particular listing is for a three-pack of cards. I like having three because it lets me have multiple backups. I split my phrase across two cards and store them in different secure locations, and I have a third that I can use as an extra backup on which to put the entire phrase on and store somewhere even more secure. If you take your crypto holdings seriously, this is an excellent backup tool when stored securely. These are well made and are worth investing in as a safe, fire-resistant backup solution.
