My dog really likes these chews. However, I have not seen the results I was hoping for in regards to itchy skin. She still is itchy and scratches her skin and bites at her paws. Has not relieved her skin allergies. Will finish the container and try something else.

I was hesitant to buy these but so glad I did. Within a day or two Darby's excessive shedding has almost completely stopped. She seems to enjoy them and looks forward to her "medicine" each morning. Darby is a short hair black/white pitt mix and was shedding terribly. Now...it's amazing!!!

This product works great for shedding! We have noticed an extreme difference. Our picky dog likes it as well.

i use same brand shampoo which is great b/c i noticed she did not itch as much after use. she has some skin irritations (my 30lb, 5 month old pit bull) on her stomach from grass, pollen, etc. the typical allergy type stuff and was itching like crazy. the shampoo def helped (its same brand and the pear one). in addition since i already like this brand, did some research and found the fish oil really helps...not just the shedding like the container says but also skin sensitivity in general. the supplement helps immune system and helps to reduce such allergies of the skin. this one is the krill oil which is the best to use if using fish oil. i have been using since i orderd and have noticed a difference and also her coat is gorgeous and we literally get stopped by people who say they could see her coat shine from a distance. they get up close prob expecting it to be oily or something and instead its soft and gorgeous. these also taste GREAT. i say that as an assumption b/c i have not tried them (LOL) but my dog looks forward to this every morning and gobbles faster than her food. she considers this a treat and loves it. her condition has improved but will keep her on these as a routine supplement and am following the instructions for weight on the container. she is on 1/2 once a day and for the price, these will last awhile so def a good investment for well being of our baby.

We have two French bulldogs. I bought these for our fawn colored male, who sheds like CRAZY. I was vacuuming every day and filling the canister. Our brindle male is 5 and has always had a terrible skin allergy that causes him to break out in mange-like sores/hair loss at least twice a year. He’s been to countless vets and has been on regimented doses of anti-itch, antibiotic, and steroid medications for as long as I can remember. I honestly didn’t think these chews would help but I decided to give them to him as well. It’s been 4 weeks now and WOW, I cannot believe what a difference these little chews have made to both of their coats! Our fawn’s shedding is down probably 75% or more and the brindle has a beautiful full coat like he’s never had. No more expensive medicine and vet trips, we will be buying these krill oil chews from now on and recommending them to everyone with shedding/itchy dogs. They’re wonderful, but keep in mind they don’t work overnight. Stick with it for at least the recommended 4 weeks and I bet you will see results as well!

This product is amazing. My dog has always had coarse fur. She scratches all the time and has lost hair on her neck, chest, face, and legs. Taking her to the vet, they just give her steroids, which help, but are not a long term treatment due to the fact they can give dogs seizures. I have tried many different things to help this. After just a few days of her taking these, her fur has softened up, and her fur is starting to grow back. I have already ordered another bottle. I highly recommend these. It has been a godsend.

I purchased this for one our dogs, who is a heavy shedder, hoping to cut down on the amount of hair I have to vacuum up. The dog loves them; unfortunately, it did not reduce shedding for our dog. That doesn't mean it won't work for someone else's dog. Additives and supplements can work for one dog and then not for another. That's the frustrating thing with supplements. And you have to think about WHY the dog is shedding - genetic predisposition? Nutrition? Environment? Generally, supplements don't work right away, so you have to give it time (a vet once told me 6 months to see if a supplement worked). So it's on to finding another product that might work. I picked this particular product initially because it seemed it would be cost effective (even though some other reviewers claimed it was expensive, in my opinion its not, especially given that I have large dogs), and it wasn't messy - a lot of supplements that claim to reduce shedding are heavy, oily liquids. The loading dose was only 1 piece per day for our particular dog, and then after that, a half-piece a day. I increased the dosage for a while to see if there was a difference in shedding and there was not. I gave it 3 stars because the dog loved them (they're a bit stinky, which most dogs love) and it didn't upset his digestion. Maybe it will work for your dog.
