Seems to Work Well
I've only been using this brace for 2 days, in conjunction with other treatments, but I've gone from having severe shoulder pain and almost zero range of motion or strength in my left shoulder to almost being back to normal. For the past month I've noticed a little pain in my left shoulder upon waking in the morning, but the pain was only noticeable when raising my arm above my head and it wasn't that bad. I usually sleep on my left side and I was thinking that maybe my sleeping posture is poor and is the root cause of this minor shoulder pain. I tried sleeping on my back but still was waking with minor shoulder pain.On Monday I played guitar (standing up, with strap over my left shoulder) for 3 hours and didn't notice any pain in the shoulder at all. Went to bed not feeling any discomfort but when I woke up Tuesday morning I could barely move my left arm at all without experiencing pain, and I couldn't even hold my guitar. I could not raise my left arm out to the side at all, I could only raise it straight in front of me a couple feet, and even driving a car it hurt for me to raise my hand to use the turn signal. After researching online I determined I have a subacromial impingement. So I started treating it with ice and ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and pain. I gradually started 2 different rehab exercises specifically for subacromial impingement. On Wednesday afternoon the NMT Shoulder Brace arrived and I immediately put it on. I've been cycling back and forth between ice-pack, then NMT brace, then rehab exercises. Also the past 2 nights I've slept on my right side or flat on my back. I've also been concentrating on improving my overall posture throughout the day, as I have a tendency to slouch, and poor posture may be a contributing factor to shoulder impingement. So, it's now Thursday afternoon as I'm typing and it's like a night and day difference. At this rate of improvement I feel like I could be totally back to normal range of motion and totally pain free in a few more days. I can't say this brace will work all by itself, but as I've stated when used along with other methods it seems to work really well.

Pretty Good!
This is the third shoulder wrap that I have tried. It is much better made than the other two "cheap" ones that I bought. First, I would not call it a brace so much as a wrap. I agree with the other reviewers that it is easier to first set up with the help of another person to attach the smaller strip of Velcro under the arm pit. Once that is in place, the other larger strap is the only one that you have to take on and off. The NMT logo is only on one side so it helps you figure out which side is the front or back depending on which shoulder you are covering. I did take off one star because the larger Velcro strap is wider than the wrap so the prickly side of the Velcro scratches your skin. You can either cut off the extra Velcro or place something between your skin and the Velcro. I was able to use a strap from one of the cheaper wraps I had and it works great. Because everyone is different and shoulders are a pretty difficult area to cover, I understand why many reviewers say it does not fit them. I can only say the wrap fits me.I have a stiff, sore shoulder and wanted something that would heat up to provide relief. I did not want the hassle of having to heat up a gel pack. This wrap is self heating. For those people who say it gets too hot, I recommend they wear it over a shirt and for those people who say it is not hot enough, I would put it directly on the skin and/or slightly wetting the skin.I am not sure if any shoulder wrap is going to be perfect for everyone, but I am pretty happy with this one. I have only had it for a few days so I cannot say the magnets/infrared heat are going to be able to eliminate my shoulder problems after 2 months of use, but I can say it makes my shoulder feel better and to me, that is worth $30 bucks.

THIS WAS NOT A BRACE
This is a well made piece. The Velcro is sturdy.HOWEVER, the description should strictly say the wearer MUST WEAR a full T-Shirt or similar as this product will cause a chaffing compared to a first degree sunburn. I am still waiting to see if the marks it left will be permanent. If I was they type, I would have filed a complaint for what this did to my shoulder skin. The plastic interior does hold body heat that seemed to help with injury discomfort, yet in a comparison to a heat patch from the local drug store...I would vote for the patch for relief. I dislocated my shoulder...again...and was looking for self help remedies. I am female and this product is in no way a companion to boobs. I had to jimmy-rig how I even tried this on and assumed by the photo that it would have fit across my cleavage....Nope!For men, I would assume the fit would be as shown. It slips around when you move a lot, so be prepared for everyone in the vicinity to know you have it on because I feel you will be adjusting and readjusting unless you remain stationary. I suggest it runs a bit small for Americans.

Brace
This would work if I wasn't so sensitive to the rubber dots on the side that touches my skin. I size was a little big. The idea with the magnet is spot on it does get warm when against the skin but I could not wear it because of the rubber dots. I am very sensitive to any kind of rubber or latex. If your not this is the product for you.
