This perfume has a very nice fragrance - like it very much.

I've worked in luxury fragrances for years and am familiar with quality ingredients and that search for the scent that stands out above the rest. Cher Couture isn't one that will ever compete with Coco Mademoiselle or YSL's Black Opium, and it's not meant to. This is for sure a celebrity fragrance that is for the fans, but once it's on your skin, you will get compliments and questions from folks who smell you, regardless of their worship of the former Mrs. Sonny Bono. There is a quiet wildness to this fragrance, something that reminds me of the softest blankets of someone who frequented Studio 54 too much. It's rich in its opening bouquet of light florals and aldehyde, a somewhat powdery musk that stays on the silage and anywhere you apply it. That's not a bad thing, and I catch myself sniffing my wrist because there really is something delightful and magical about Cher Couture. Maybe it's the combination of Cher's name that heightens it for me, but this scent has a confidence and club culture vibe that makes me think, yeah, Cher would probably smell like this. It says it's for both men and women (and in 2023, is anything ever safe labeled binary?) but as a guy who loves Cher and who's worked in fragrance, this has a distinct feminine vibe which I think is dynamic. I'd still wear it. It's the soft white musks (like Donna Karan’s “Cashmere Mist”) that makes people keep writing "it smells like baby powder." It's much more sophisticated than that though, and the mix of the floral and notes a vanilla give it just the right sweetness and edge that keeps it a serious perfume. Think Lita Ford. Think dance diva Erin Hamilton or Kristine W. THIS is what this smells like. It smells sexy, intoxicating and a little dangerous. I want to be all those things. YOU do too. And for a bottle under $30 (cheaper when it's a great sale!), you can't go wrong with Cher Couture. This also makes a great gift. It's packaged in a black box and slides out, like a forbidden goodie from Studio 54.

I bought this unisex scent several years ago and finally finished the bottle. When I reordered I was very surprised the price had dropped so much, I was prepared to spent another $50-60 for it. I love the warm but powerful and long lasting spicy scent with a touch of floral. At first it seems a bit too strong and you do want to wear less than other scents but love the quality and how long lasting it is. If you're not sure, you can try the tiny bottle for less than $8, and it's perfect for your manbag or purse.

I love Cher and really wanted to like this but it’s definitely not for me. IMO it smells like powdery bug spray. . . 🐜 I wish I had realized this was a nonreturnable item. Now what am I gonna do with it? The bottle’s really cool so it looks good on my dresser. Oh well. . .

I love this scent, I got my first bottle of Cher's perfume in the 90s. This smells just like that bottle. I love this and it lasts a very long time. One squirt on my wrist lasted well over 12 hours. I do find that some people tend to wear off perfume quicker than I do. I guess that is all to do with chemistry. I would gift this to any of my friends that like the scent on me. Love this and will buy again.
