Fabulous , use and use again, love em !!
Love these, I would have threw away so many cotton face pads by now !! They soft and exfoliate a little too and wash out so easy, one of my best buys last month !!

Easy to use, soft, and better for the Earth!
Easy to use, clean, and re-use! However when I have put them in the wash and their little wash bag — a few fall out and get lost within other articles of clothing, etc. Tying it twice works better. Great value for money, better for the environmemt, does as described and nice and soft! :)

Very nice but I only got 15 in my box, not 20!
This is meant to be a set of 20 bamboo pads for use in lieu of cotton pads for cosmetics and skincare products - I was only sent 15, which I have raised with the seller and I will update this review anon when I get response. They are sent in cardboard and Kraft paper packaging which is recyclable and you get a cotton mesh laundry bag to wash them in. The pads are 8 cm in diameter (about 3") and are made of synthetic rayon that is manufactured from cellulose obtained from bamboo waste - don't be fooled by the industry-wide marketing of bamboo products that implies (but never says) that it's bamboo fibre, it's actually just rayon. As such, they are indistinguishable from any other cellulose rayon, such as cotton rayon or viscose. When they arrive and are removed from the box, they are very smelly (of chemicals from manufacture) and not terribly absorbent - aqueous skincare products just float on the surface. If you run all of them through the washing machine, the smell goes away and they become more absorbant. When you launder these products, a 30-40*C wash with either biological or non-biological detergent (I personally prefer the former) is used, but do not use fabric softener as it will stop them from absorbing skincare products. If you put 1/4 cup of distilled malt vinegar (and an optional drop of lavender or other essential oil) into the softener part of the washing machine drawer, that will soften them nicely and keep them smelling fresh whilst maintaining their absorbance. This works with towels too, so you're best off washing them with towels. The manufacturers say not to tumble dry them - I've been drying each one flat in the airing cupboard thus far and it's worked fine. They don't take long to dry at all and of course don't _need_ to be dry to be used. Don't wash them with anything coloured - the edging on the pads (which I think is cotton) absorbs dye very easily, as I found out he hard way lol! I've used all of my pads at least once, some of them at least 3 times as I re-laundered some quite quickly to see how they did - they don't seem to be degrading in the wash at all. On the whole, a great replacement for cotton disposables. If we call the price £10 (£9.99) for 20 pads, that's £0.50 each, which seems a lot when it's 100 cotton disposables for £1.79 at a leading pharmacy right now (just shy of £0.02 each). I use 28 disposable pads per week, typically, so in a year, 1,458 (that's horrifying!) - that's £26. From what I have read online, bamboo pads usually last 6-12 months depending how often you wash them. If these last 6 months, they've paid for themselves as cotton pads would cost £13 for 6 months and these £10. If they last a year, then I'm doing very well with a box for £10 each year versus £26 for cotton disposables - and think how much waste I've avoided! It doesn't cost me anything in laundry as they go in with towels and muslin squares I used as flannels that I was 1-2 times a week all in together. I should add that those who use them for pigmented cosmetics or for SPF moisturisers will find they stain or degrade more readily - I don't use such products, however. The only staining I've found is from bright orange sea-buckthorn oil in my cleanser, which stains everything it hits, but that doesn't bother me. They are stable to glycolic acid toners at 7% and 10%, and to lactic acid at 10% and to a mix of AHAs at 30%, with no degradation at all - I don't even rinse them after use, I just put them the laundry bag ready to wash 3-5 days later.
