Sig Romeo7
Can't post a pic of the optic on my receiver, however, QD lock up is very good, glass is good, dot is good but blooms on the last 2 high settings. Fit and finish are fantastic as expected from Sig. MOTAC is so fast you wonder if the red dot ever shuts off. I bought this for the robustness of the optic, knowing the glass isn't the best out there. This thing is a tank!

Excellent value
Love this red dot very accurate at short and medium distances. Typical red dot brightness features easy to operate. Holds zero. Yes it’s big but I didn’t have to pay AIMPOINT price and it completes the look I was going for. Yes I wanted an AP M4 but I don’t have nor can I justify paying 2-3 x the price for a simple red dot. Ah yes and the MOTAC feature best of all.Easy to mount and zero. Comes with 2 mounts QD installed by default, battery and honeycomb flash kill with flip covers. Overall excellent value for performance, accessories and especially for the price.Solid unit no doubts will last long hopefully internal electronics will hold up just as well.I highly recommend.

Quality as usual
I originally bought the 7s and was very pleased with the rugged build and the clarity of the glass and red dot. My only complaint is the lens caps seem a bit flimsy but still very functional. I decided to upgrade to the 7 because of the great reviews and I'm glad I did!! The 7 is very rugged, has some heft, incredibly clear glass and the red dot is very quick to pick up. Mounted it to a M&P 15 and took it to the range. Used a boresight to get on paper then had it zeroed in 3 rounds. Ran about 300 whitebox 55gr removed it, thanks to the included quick detach mount, put it back on and was still zeroed perfectly. Great sight for duty use or just your average shooter like me. Another awesome Sig Sauer product. Buy it!!

Aimpoint for normals.
First the bad, which is the same problems as the aimpoints options. Its heavy and takes up a lot of rail space. After that, pure gold. It has a tighter dot then the aimpoint m68 cco, the mounting system is more consistent and doesnt run the risk of screws coming loose and the optic rotating because of it. Returns to zero perfectly, (as long as the same 1913 section is used). It is significantly less expensive and, feature wise, it is far richer then its Swedish competition. Yes, the turret guards are annoying when you zero. Get your zero at 25 meters (for a standard ar15) and you are solid out to 300 meters. Get your zero, replace the caps and have no worries. Another HUGE advantage is using standard batteries, and it will last a very, very long time. Accesories included are decent. The flip caps kinda suck, they came loose after 60 rounds and wouldn't sit right, but i never intended on using the caps long term. Honestly, flip caps on a serious optic are kinda pointless if you ask me. Just another thing to slow you down and get in the way. The glass and the coatings they use are more then adequate for any serious application. By all accounts it is a durable, reliable, accurate, and very budget friendly optic. In my humble opinion, aimpoint, vortex, and even trijicon cant hold a candle to any sig optic as far as features, durability and price. Buy with confidence, any and all sig optics.

Rugged, overbuilt, heavy, but I like it.
I have a Romeo5 and now this Romeo7. The 7 is way big and heavy! Maybe too much. Larger lens diameter is nice, and the shrouding tube design is nice, but adds size & weight! Easy to adjust and feels amazingly well built! The Romeo5 is a sweet spot tho, in features, weight, size, & price. In retrospect if I had just bought a second Romeo5, I think I’d be just as happy, maybe more so.

Great little Red Dot
I needed a unit with a bigger sight picture, the Romeo5 just seemed way too small for my liking. The 1x30mm was perfect for me, but this is a bit heavier than the 5. It's a fantastic unit for the price point.PROS:-Larger sight picture than other RDS, 30mm-Takes standard AA battery, hasn't died yet (1yr).-Shake awake works great, covers seal nicely to prevent debris on the sight.-Quick detach fits snug.-Plenty of brightness settings, dot is clear.-Solid build quality, price.CONS:-This is a beefy lil guy, certainly heavier than some other RDS units.-Gun community elitists will cry about how you didn't spend $1000 dollars for the Aimpoint equivalent.Highly recommend!
