Amazon to the rescue! Why do pendant designers think we want to see a cord hanging from the ceiling! We searched everywhere for nice pendants that used a down rod. The pendants we loved only had an ugly clear cord. The light store was ambivalent about being able to special order down rods. So I searched Amazon and found these. Luckily the rod threads fit the ceiling plate of the pendants we had.

Exactly what I needed for my 16 ft kitchen ceiling
I looked for months and months for pendants that would work with my high ceiling and none existed in a good price point. So I decided to buy pendants that worked with extenders. These extenders worked perfectly and ended up costing 75% less than if I bought pendants at this length.

Piece that attaches to fixture broke within 15 mins so that chandelier was hanging just by the wires. Not metal, super cheap metal look alike.
