Absolutely worth the money (and then some).
I used this to replace another seismic valve that failed. When I took the old one apart, I was surprised by how simplistic and cheaply made it was.In contrast, this new valve is in a league of its own. Very solid. Very well-made. Directions clearly written.

Easy install and worth every penny for peace of mind
Easy install and worth every penny for peace of mind, I had several of these Valves at work durring the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in Calif, my facility was onlt 7 miles from the eppicenter of the quake, every valve closed and save our facility from a major fire, our valves were 2" and 3" valves.

Great product. I am a contractor and have installed many of these valves. Simple and safe. Positive reset window lets you know if valve is open or tripped. Have one on my own house.

Can't tell how well it works unless there's a real earthquake. I shook it and it worked.PG&E recommends it. It might be a 5 star product.Make sure your plumber looked at you gas pipe near the gas meter before you decide which size you should get.It might be 3/4 inch or 1 inch pipe. You might need a vertical one vs a horizontal one like this one.
