Adheres well to surfaces, and is resistant to bumps on the highway — I used it to secure a plastic box on a shelf that holds my printer in my straight truck (delivery truck), and it has worked well for a couple of years now. I’ve also used it to adhere my dash cam to my windshield, and it it great because you can take the camera off, clean the window, and put it right back in place. Great product for truckers.

This is what I call 'Gorilla Velcro'! The sticky side of it works well most everywhere - the only place that it hasn't stayed in place well was on the aluminum(?) window sills of the windows in our travel trailer -- there the HOT HOT sun tended to soften it a bit and it would move some of the pieces I used to attached sunshades to the windows around a bit after it spent several days in 116-121 F heat in Las Vegas, but I was melting then too! (BUT, if you have an RV you know how hot these traveling 'boxes' can get at times.) That is the only place that the sticky side didn't behave as well as I wanted. Otherwise it sticks and stays stuck extremely well. As for the 'velcro' looking side - this fastener works absolutely wonderfully!! You quite literally hear it snapping into place when you push two pieces together. I find sooooo many uses for this. Holding cords and cable in place on the back of our TV, putting it on various remotes to be able to have a 'home base' to attach them to. On big example is this next one, when I used it to attach 2 great sensor activated lights to the the awning rails that are attached to the side of our trailer. Each light is powered by 3 “C” size batteries, so they are heavy. Since they are heavy, I always ‘plan’ on removing these lights from the rails before traveling down the road, just in case the Scotch Extreme Fasteners fail with the movement of the trailer being towed over rough roads and such. BUT, at least twice now I have totally forgotten to take the lights off before we head out. Amazingly, even with one time during which we had been traveling for several hours and had hit some very rough roads/highways & freeways during that time, when we were almost home I suddenly remembered I had not taken the lights off the awning rails and was betting that at least one of them was probably gone. As soon as we pulled in our driveway I walked back to the trailer and lo and behold, those heavy little lights were both still firmly attached!! Yep, it is affectionately called 'Gorilla Velcro' by my husband and I and I HIGHLY recommend it! I have a feeling you now understand why I said in my heading that I would give it 10 stars if I could! Well worth this awesome Scotch product's cost!!

This is a very strong fastener. I used them to attach chloroplast sides to a parade float. The sides were 16 feet by 3 feet. No problems when towing the float to the parade sight at 20 MPH.

Bought this for general use. My dash cam mount kept separating from the tape in the car in hot weather. I was using 3M VHB tape but to be fair, it's a bit old and should be used up within 2 years. I never had issues with it when it was newer. The dual lock has acrylic adhesive and is a more permanent bond. Since using it, the dash cam has stayed in place, and of course this is much sturdier than Velcro for attaching. As for the price, the cost per foot was considerably less that the 3M brand dual lock. I know they're made by the same company. So, if you need this type of product, I'd recommend this one.

I built some solar screens for my windows on my house in Texas. I wanted to make it so that I could take them down easy to clean the windows and put them back up. i have vinyl windows so I can't use screws or nails to fasten them. I tried many other brands of Velcro and automotive grade double sided tape. during the high heat western sun (can be Easily over 100 degrees) the sticky backing failed and the solar screens fell off the windows. Except for this stuff! It held up to the brutal temperature's all summer long. This stuff can take the heat. Strong durable hold. Great stuff!
