Pittman Outdoors Inflatable Rear Seat Air Mattress - Full-Size Trucks & Suv's

The bed was super comfortable and saved us on a recent road trip. It fit perfectly in our F150 truck. One star taken because the bottom portion that supports the bed stopped holding air after 3 uses. We were very careful so I’m not sure what happened. There was no obvious seam damage or areas that needed a patch. I don’t write many reviews but wanted to chime in on this product because Pittman Outdoors was so awesome to work with to get our problem resolved. They communicated quickly and professionally. We had a replacement at our doorstep within a week of me reaching out. I haven’t had the opportunity to test the new lower support but will follow up if it has issues. I like the air mattress and the fact that it came with an inflation pump (worked fast). I did use 2 blankets on the seat to make it perfectly level. My back seats are like a bucket seat. It filled my GMC 3500HD crew cab back seat completely side to side and front to back. I am 250 lbs and it worked great. I would recommend this to someone needing to sleep in the vehicle. The reason for the four-star rating on comfort is that I am 6'2" and how comfortable can I be in a 5'3" bed.........lol

They list this item as 58", but it actually inflates closer to 64", which is pleasing since it fills up the entire back seat of your 2017 silverado, however it gives you a false opinion when you go to purchase from another manufacturer claiming the same inflated size. I use my air matress on a regular basis, after about 4 months of use, it started leaking down the upper part slowly overnight, and about that same time period the pull tabs on the caps ripped right off, as if they were rotted, so in order to utilize them, i have to use my car key to remove the cap, to inflate. Now I'm 6 months in, both the bottom and the top portion leak down within about 2 hours of fully inflating, and the seams that run down the center too keep it from bulging into a round ball shape have started to rip internally, causing bulges in unwanted ways. Overall, i am happy with the time i did get with the mattress, however the price does not justify the time i got out of it, when there are other manufacturers charging half their cost, offering the same longevity. Update: I ordered a second one to replace the first one I described above....it lasted all of two weeks.

Prior to purchasing this item I contacted the seller to see if this was a one-piece unit or a two-piece unit. The photos showed it to be a one-piece unit but the prior reviews complained the two pieces didn't stay together very well. The seller said it was a one-piece unit and I ordered it. When it arrived I discovered it was a two-piece unit. Based on the photos I'm thinking I got an older two-piece unit and the newer units are now one piece. I assembled it anyway and put it in my truck to make sure it would fit. It fit well and was comfortable to lay on. I couldn't feel any of the seatbelts or any other irregularities in the shape of the back seat coming through the mattress. As previous reviewers noted the two-piece design was almost impossible to keep together as a single unit. However, I realized that it lay in a better position with the two pieces separated from each other anyway. The shape and depth of the seat bottom keep it from staying connected. With the two pieces separated the unit fit better anyway. The mattress feels very durable and I could not detect any air leaks from any of the seams. I haven't had an opportunity yet to use it for an overnight sleep in the truck. I have slept in the truck several times prior to getting this mattress and after just laying on it while parked in my driveway I can already tell that it will be much more comfortable. Without the mattress you sleep on the very small back seat bottom that is at an angle and you can feel the seatbelts etc underneath. I look forward to being able to sleep on a regular air mattress. If it were me manufacturing this item I would make the cord for the air pump about 3' longer so the mattress can be inflated while the mattress is in the back seat. With the two-piece unit you would be able to air up the bottom piece in place and the same with the mattress. With the short power cord you have to air up both pieces outside of the truck which increases the opportunity for the mattress to rub on the ground a possibly get a hole in it. The pump was powerful enough to air it up quickly and deflate it quickly. Overall I'm happy with it but no comments on long term durability. I will try to update my review after I've slept on it a few times.

Got this to sleep in the back seat as I drive over the road in my truck. Was nice at first. Doesn’t want to hold air anymore. Can’t find a leak anywhere. Not sure if it’s because it is colder outside now or what. Back to sleeping in a seat again.

I didn't realize when we bought this, but it has a portion that inflates to fill the negative space. So, you need to scoot your front seats forward, but then this inflatable bed covers the back seat AND the negative space behind the front seats - so you have a larger platform to lie down on. It's way more comfortable than you'd think. I used this after I had hip surgery and couldn't sit upright in a chair, I was able to lie down while my husband drove me around.

Used in an 02 F150 SuperCrew for a 3,000 mile road trip. Worked great, even with an adult and a large dog. Never lost air, sort of cradles you in transit making it even better than putting the seats down with 2 layers of memory foam like we used on past trips. More than fills up the back seat.

Works great in a pinch. Way better than driving when you shouldn’t be.

I bought this bed for a long road trip. We have an 2014 F150 crew cab. It fits perfectly I wanted to see how long it would stay inflated. It’s been a week so far still firm. Fits the seat perfectly. Very impressed with it the toughness of the material. Works well does what it says it will.

This mattress fills up the entire back seat and leg area of my crew cab 3500 P/U truck. I've had it inflated for close to 3 weeks and no leaks. It's very comfortable and just like any other air mattress, you have to be aware of sharp objects like keys or anything that can poke a hole in it. When the camper is not on the truck, this mattress is much more comfortable than just lying across the seat!

Perfect for long drives especially in bug season when tenting is nearly impossible without getting eaten alive.

Lost air... too bad as it was great for the one time i used it. Great pump too
