CND Vinylux Longwear Blue Nail Polish, Gel-like Shine & Chip Resistant Color, Denim Patch #226, 0.5 Fl Oz

‘Denim Patch’ is from the CND Vinylux Long Wear Nail Polish System.This gorgeous greyish blue polish gave a good but slightly streaky first coat coverage which surprised me considering how thin its consistency was. Applying it was a dream thanks to the amazing brush and it’s curve hugging design which made it so easy to apply the polish precisely and even though my hands are a little unsteady, I was still able to achieve a neat and tidy result.It dried super fast but as it dried it seemed to sink into my less than perfect nails and magnify their ridges and other imperfection. I applied a 2nd coat, as directed, and while this did improve things with a slightly thicker coverage, the ridges were still fairly noticeable.This polish is step 1 in a 2 step system with step 2 being their Long Wear topcoat - which it says ‘must be used for ultimate performance’ - as I didn’t have the topcoat I don’t think it is fair of me to complain that the polish had chipped, on every nail, within a few hours of painting.Overall this is a truly beautiful shade of denim blue that disappointed through no fault of its own - so I’m off to buy the necessary top coat and a ridge filler so I can give it a second chance ;)

Lovely shade of dusky blue. Goes on well but as mentioned by others...it is definitely not hard wearing. I don't have long nails, and have just been doing a few normal everyday household jobs, alongside typing and walking my furry buddies. Within 3 days it was wearing away on the tips of my nails. Not chipping off, but just fading revealing tips of my finger nails. Am disappointed that it didn't last any longer than this.

Wanted a chip free nail varnish.Used on my toes and stayed on for over 2 weeks with only the edges chipping after 2 weeks. Have not tried on hands yet.So will update that when I have.

I had this on my nails for about a week and a half without it chipping. Very opaque so only a couple of layers needed.
