Is the organic glycerin listed in the ingredients from a vegetable (non-animal) source?

I have initially posted this as a question, but was not allowed enough characters, and could not go back to comment to clarify. Perhaps posting it here as a comment will get a response from someone more knowledgeable on the subject than me. This product is marked 'vegan' on the packaging, but that directly conflicts with an article I read just prior to visiting this product page. The article stated in part: "it's absolutely crucial for those that abstain from animal products to understand that there are no plant sources of B12 and that all vegans and most vegetarians should supplement with B12. This is especially important for vegetarian or vegan children or pregnant women, whose need for B12 is even greater than adults."I know not to believe everything I read, but one of these statements is obviously untrue. why are all the b12 supplements i find 8000% of the daily value we need?!?!

The reason for high doses - extremely poor absorption and increasing need of this vitamin for energy and oxygenation of the blood while we age. On average cyanocobalamin B12 absorbs in the neighborhood of 1%. Calculate 1% out of such a high dose as 5000 mcg and it is only 50 mcg. The active form of B12 methyl-cobalamin absorbs a little better and works faster since it does not need conversion. Also daily values established long time ago are often criticized in medical community as being extremely low and incorrect. People who have brain fog, shortness of breath, low energy, hypothyroidism, pernicious anemia and vegans would benefit from B12 supplementation the most.

there is no such thing as a 'flavor'... so what exactly is the 'natural flavor?'  what are they hiding?
