We love this slip lead! It's the best we've ever had! Super high quality! We recently studied about how to properly use a slip lead and we've since had wonderful success training a couple of adult rescues not to pull. I'm now convinced that a properly used slip lead is much more humane than a normal flat collar for walking your dog while training. We still have our dogs wearing a flat collar at all times and this slip lead doesn't interfere at all. The stay helps keep the lead high on the neck. Good leash. Nice quality leather and real brass hardware. Pretty and stylish. We use it daily, easy to slip on and go outside to use the doggie restroom. Leather has softened and darkened up with use. It is now very pliable. The stop on the lead does tend to slip. If that is your intended use, it might not work for you.

This is a perfect slip leash for keeping a good handle on your dog. It is very short allowing for full control, and the "locking guide" holds the leash to a good length around the neck preventing it falling off. The leather is of good quality and was a bit stiff at first (as i'd expect leather to be) and after about 2 weeks it's already softening up slightly.This is a great leash of great quality and it performs its function perfectly

The Good:Nice leather with good stitching. Quality workmanship. I have experienced no staining from the tanned leather even when wet.The Bad:The slide for the slip leash will not stay in place. It gets progressively worse as the leather breaks in. This defeats the purpose of a slip leash.

This is a great leash/slip-lead. My dog doesn't wear a collar, and it's so easy to slip this on and off when we go for walks. It's very classy looking, too. It is stiff when it first arrives, as is all new leather, but it softens very quickly. I have bought both the 6-ft and the 4-ft and both are very high quality. I highly recommend this leash.

Loving this slip leash so far!! I was mixed about my decision because I thought you had to spend a lot of money to get a nice product but i was pleasantly surprised. I have been using mine for about a week now I have the 6 foot 5/8 version for my 82 pound pitbull mix and it does very well. It is stiff at first but as of now mine is getting pretty soft and darkening. I can see where it might "frey" a little on the sides but so far so good! I love it!

Purchased 2 of these for my English Mastiffs. Seem very comfortable with them on and I have no fear of breakage because of the thick leather and amazing quality ! Highly recommended !

After looping 18" of the slip lead around my dog's neck, it only left 4 1/2 ft of leash so it's not the 6 ft length that I prefer. My mistake for not thinking of that. The lead is as advertised, really nice leather and beautifully made.
