Cuisinart CTG-00-BXCHP6 Vegetable and Fruit Chopper,White

I love my chopper. I do extra veggies when I am chopping to put in the freezer. When I need some quick, I measure out.Only problem I have had, on the cover, one of the C looking part that helps it attach to the base broke off. Now I have to be careful when using so that it is not out of line and shaves some of the black teeth off of the pusher. Is it possible to get parts?

So excited to get this. I had my sisters here and my niece to show them what I got and how easy it will be to use. I cut my carrots to fit the grid, I cut celery to fit. I put the celery on grid and pushed all my might on the lid. The celery never went through the blades but instead got totally stuck half way in the blades. Even the lil poker wouldn’t get it out. Had to use a lil screwdriver to push each grid free of stuck celery. Well now I’m very disappointed about this great tho g I bought. So surely the carrots should be easier. No it was like pushing wood. We all tried, then finally some of the carrot went through but then so did slivers of plastic from the white spikes being cut from the blades. And all 4 of us tried this. Then next time trying a carrot it didn’t cut through but got stuck so hard in the blades I could not get it out. Returned it asap

This is my new favorite kitchen tool! This makes chopping jalapeños, onions, bell peppers, and apples a breeze! I am a Home Ec teacher so I also bought one to have in my classroom and bought one for my mom and aunt for Christmas! I will never chop a jalapeño or onion without it! It comes with 2 different size cutting squares for smaller or larger pieces.

If you are like me, you have read over the many models that do approximately the same thing. Some have 10 or more different attachments…etc……I wanted to keep it simple. This unit does all that I need. You get 2 chopping sizes….medium and small. Great for dicing bell peppers, onions. Don’t use this on cheese. Easy to clean and store and you don’t have a bunch of attachments you will never use…..UPDATE…after using approximately 2 months, the nibs that allow the top portion of the chopper to operate…one of them broke. This portion of the chopper just isn’t robust enough…In fairness to Cuisinart…they have excellent customer service….a free replacement is on the way….NOTE…there is another very similar model sold on Amazon …Cuisinart Prep Express…This model is the same price and looks to be better built than the model I bought…

Over the course of the last two years I have purchased three veggie choppers. During my chopper era, I learned a few things.My first chopper, the beloved Fullstar, the movie star, with all the bells & whistles. I loved it too but it lost its shine when the pieces started falling off one by one. I thought, I can fix, it, no really I can! But the last straw was when I found a spring in my pan on the stove while cooking dinner. Scary.The Oxo chopper, you’d think that one would be a winner? No, we won’t talk about that one, it didn’t even make it a fortnight.Finally came this Cuisinart from out of nowhere. Sturdy, sharp. Easy to clean. No little pieces to break off, simple design. The little scraper gets all the onion bits, tomato skin, everything clean from the pusher nibs. We finally found us a clear winner.

This vegetable chopper has been a total game-changer in my kitchen! It saves so much time and effort, especially when prepping meals with lots of veggies.
