It's a VERY nice table - if you can get an undamaged one. Which you probably won't.
The first one arrived in a box that had obvious damage. Once I opened it, it because apparent why - the table itself is quite heavy, and the box itself is INCREDIBLY thin for such a heavy item. There was a rather half-hearted attempt to reinforce the box with thin wooden strips (THIN, as in flexible 3/16 plywood); but there was still no way to lift the box without it sagging out of shape due to the weight inside. The table had simply slid around in side the box, partially knocking out the end of the box. Since Chintaly shipped it with the leaf locking mechanism locked, AND in a flimsy box, it was damaged during shipping. Let me explain. The two heavy glass leaves are on ball bearing slides, each of which has a cable on it. This cable has two purposes: 1) It's an equalizer, allowing you to open both leaves by simply pulling one side and 2) there is a plastic cam that clamps down on the cable to lock the leaves in place. When Chintaly packed the table, they locked the locking mechanism. But since the box was so flimsy and the table so poorly secured, the heavy leaves shifted during shipping, pulling the cables loose from their attachment points. In normal usage, of course, the cables would never be required to support the entire weight of the leaves.Anyway, the first table arrived with both cables loose. I contacted Amazon, and was promptly shipped a replacement. The replacement arrived with ONE cable pulled loose, and a chip in one leaf. At this point, I contacted Chintaly directly, requesting two intact slides. Chintaly (politely!) told me that they don't deal directly with the public. When i protested that it would take a very small gesture to make a customer happy, they responded (again, politely!) that *Amazon* was their customer. Well, then.I reported the problem with table #2 to Amazon, who again shipped a replacement. Table #3 arrived with (you guessed it) a cable pulled loose. Why not simply repair it, you might ask? Well, fishing the cable through the internals of slide and re-attaching it can be done; but it's non-trivial (and on one of the tables, the attachment bolt was stripped). Also, I just feel that customers shouldn't have to repair new items out of the box, especially when they've given the manufacturer the opportunity to make it right. So, NOPE.In summary, 3 out of 3 were damaged in exactly the same way, and it could all be solved by using an appropriate shipping container. Also, Chintaly should NOT lock the lock during shipping, and should simply use tape to hold the leaves together.Outside of the fact that you probably won't get an intact one, it's quite a nice table. It is easy to assemble, and sturdy. The frame is stout, and the self-storing leaf mechanism is easy to use and clever in design. The attachment mechanism for the glass is also well-designed, and allows precise leveling of all the surfaces. Finally, the glass looks great, with its slight tint. Overall, it presents as a high-quality piece. This is easily a 4 or 5-star item when it leaves the factory. But it probably won't be when it gets to you.

A very nice table.... mine is a little damage
The shipping box was falling apart but it did include all the parts. The table was damaged. A wire used to open the table was broken. It will cost additional money and time to return the item. The wire assists in opening the table to raise the extension panel. It currently opens but the wire hangs and might ultimately jam the slider. I will try to repair it myself or just remove it. The table is a little smaller than expected but it looks very nice. It will seat two comfortably without the extension and 4 with the extension. The glass is not transparent and more white than frosted but it looks very nice. My wife wanted a glass table and I did not want to see through the table so this satisfies both criteria. It's easy to assemble. All you do is screw in each leg with 3 Allen bolts (Allen wrench is provided). There was a second Allen wrench provided for leveling the glass top. The table is heavy and lifting it is a two person task.

Good for a small space
Good for a small space. The glass seems pretty durable and doesn't scratch too easliy. My only issue was with it arriving with a missing glider piece (foot at bottom of leg). It took about 2 months to get it from Chintaly in China. However, the customer service rep for the importer, Home and Living, was very persistant and professional and they did ultimately get it for me.
