OK, there’s a couple technical things to know about this product before we dive into how amazing it is!Colors: The actual color of this iridescent powder will be determined by the color of your base coat. On this listing page there’s a photo with a black background that says “black purple pink orange white.” That photo shows you what the final effect looks like when you use those color base coats.Unicorn vs Mermaid: This company offers a mermaid and a unicorn that look very similar. I only purchased this one, but I’m pretty sure that there is a difference. This one is definitely more pink and a little bit of maybe green and yellow in there. But predominantly I would call it pink unicorn. I don’t see any blue in here. (The mermaid one looks to have a blue tint in the picture. And this one’s definitely not blue)2 Textures: You can apply this loosely to achieve a more grainy sandy textures effect. Or you can buff it in with their included applicators which are like eyeshadow applicators and achieve a smooth glazed opalescent affect.Application: I brought this to my regular nail salon. She did my gel polish the same way she always does. Except that after the topcoat she added the powder and then another topcoat. That’s all! (So, gel basecoat, polish, polish, topcoat, glitter, topcoat 👌)1. A lot of the reviews said that you need a no-wipe topcoat. I used the smooth texture method for this and that was not true for me. (But I believe those reviews that say you need the no-wipe topcoat formula are for if you want to use it as a loose powder for a textured effect.)2. Be forewarned, it takes a little bit of effort to get a perfect result. Your gel polish will need to be cured, but not too cured. They have to be at least a tiny drop sticky in order to accept the pigment. (she dried both of my hands for the regular time and the first hand turned out OK, but the second hand had been sitting in the open air while she worked on the first hand, and that one did not pick up any pigment. So she had to add another topcoat and try again)3. We also noticed that when the brush got too dirty we needed to use a fresh side of it.My Review: Overall, this is a super fun product! You can make it as classic or as wild as you want! Just be prepared that if your nail tech doesn’t have experience with it there is a potential for error. But even with my tiny nicks I still love it! The effect is so wild and fun that any errors disappeared in the results for me. 🥰😍 🦄 💅

So I really wanted the mermaid/unicorn nail look. I get the dip powder pedicure at the nail salon, but they didn't have this type of powder. I ordered the unicorn nail powder and just had the nail salon do a white powder for my nails. I bought the no wipe topcoat and the white gel polish (see attached pics) per the instructions in the description. I also bought an LED nail dryer (see pic) for cheap. I was super impressed with these products as well (all bought on Amazon...and no I did not receive a discount or free product for the positive review of these). I did the following layers OVER my salon nails:-layer of topcoat and cure for 60 seconds-layer of white gel polish and cure for 60 seconds-another layer of gel polish and cure for 60 seconds-add unicorn powder (glitter) with eyeshadow applicator provided until I liked the look-add layer of topcoat and cure for 2 minutesI see reviews where others found better success when they didn't fully cure the polish before adding the powder. However, for me, I fully cured the polish and it worked just fine. It might depend on the brand and color of polish.I bought some cheap, natural colored press on nails and tried the process on those first before doing it on my nails.I guess the only "negative" I found was that the powder (aka glitter is SUPER fine and gets everywhere!). I had glitter specs floating around my bedroom for 10 minutes lol. However, it's this super-fine quality of the glitter that gives it the shiny, holographic look rather than a glitter look. There looks to be enough product to do a full set of nails about 3 times. I will definitely be buying this stuff again! Hope this helps :)

This product does exactly what it says it will do, but unless you're a professional or extreme nail hobbyist, you're going to want to practice before you wear this anywhere special. there's a fair number of undercoats that are suggested, and chrome/glitter makes imperfections stand out, so you'll want to spend some time getting the undercoats thin and clean before adding the chrome. If you don't, your nails will look gloppy.Also, fair warning: There's a window of cure for your gels before adding the chrome, and it's pretty easy to miss- too wet, and it will be gluey/tacky - too solid, and it won't stick. (I tend towards too solid, and there's not a lot you can do other than add more topcoat, which increases the gloppy.)

First off, I’m shocked how full the container is. I’ve ordered similar powders from other brands and was left lacking. The powder is super shiny and vibrant. I ran some across my nails just to see how well it transferred and it did great. I will update with pictures of my FullSet. It came with 4 double sided application brushes and instructions on English. I will be purchasing more 😊

It came out just like what is advertised in the picture! Those who didn’t achieve this effect must have done it wrong. You need to use a No Wipe top coat and flash cure. Then rub powder into it with the foam applicator it came with. When done properly, it’s so beautiful and is a perfect holograph chrome effect. Will update with a pic!

Container itself is extremely hard to open the first time. Powder works best by rubbing it on with finger for full coverage. If not using gel polish add a layer of rubberized undercoat before applying.

Excellent powder and easy to use! Great for “Aurora” nails but wish it came in different colours.
