Ranger THoltz Distress Ink Pad Oxide Vintage Photo

Dry pad
I do like to use these oxides I’ve used them many times, this one several times, I’ve always bought my oxide and ink pads from Amazon, with no complaint, unfortunately this time my oxide pad is very dry, I just luckily decided rather than buying the same type again, I’d buy a re-inker too, to see how long it lasts, I didn’t expect to have to wait for that to arrive, because mine was so dry.... I’m disappointed to say the least, and frustrated too.

Another great colour from the Tim Holtz range
I enjoy crafting with distress ink, it gives a much nicer appearance to cards rather than a plain tone ink pad. I use this type of ink with a bristle brush and you can blend this ink easily into the page or with other colours. This is a brown 'vintage' colour... less is definitely more!

I have quite a collection of the distress inks and they are fantastic so I thought I would try the new oxide inks. These inks have a sort of chalkiness about them but I think I will buy some more as they are different from the distress inks. As usual with anything from the states you have to wait a while for it to be delivered which is understandable. But it arrived on time and was very well packaged.

Great product but pricey!
I adore distress inks, they're so versatile and easy to use in different ways, such a shame they're usually so pricey.
