Good gift for the boyfriend / Hubs!
I bought the SOG PowerAccess Deluxe Multi-Tool as a gift for my boyfriend, and he hasn’t stopped raving about it since. The build is solid and heavy-duty, with a sleek black finish that looks just as good as it feels in hand. It comes loaded with useful tools: two knife blades, pliers, a can opener, bottle opener, multiple screwdrivers, hex bits, and a durable nylon sheath to keep everything organized. What really stands out is how versatile it is, he’s already used it for little repairs around the house, tightening screws, opening packages, and even popping open a bottle. He’s genuinely impressed by how smooth and reliable each tool feels, especially compared to other multi-tools he’s tried before. I wasn’t sure if this would be “just another gadget,” but it’s quickly become one of his everyday essentials. If you’re looking for a gift that’s practical, well-made, and guaranteed to be appreciated, this is a fantastic choice. My boyfriend loves it, and honestly, I think anyone who enjoys being hands-on, prepared, or just likes having a reliable tool close by would too.

Tough tool
I had my eye on this for awhile. I had a SOG Power Pint which impressed me quite a bit, but was on the small side for general use, and the Power Access Deluxe looked pretty much like a full grown Power Pint. So i decided to buy one if for no other reason than to satisfy my curiosity. One thing the SOG tools have is that compound leverage applied to the pliers. I'm getting older and am loosing some grip strength and the grip these things bring to bear is pretty awesome. I have always viewed any brand multi tool as a jack of all trades sort of a thing, pretty handy for lots of stuff, but not necessarily ideal for any one particular task. In this vein I do not mind that the knife blades, file, and saw are somewhat on the small size. If I need them for something other than a light task, I am usually close enough to something else better. For instance, I ALWAYS have a GOOD, sharp sturdy knife in my pocket, and various other tools close to hand in my ATV. I also liked that they came with dual bit driver options and a decent bit kit. The pouch is pretty decent too. but I carry horizontal, so the belt loops are a bit small, but they work. The only real gripe I have with this tool lies with the idiot who did the final assembly. The pivot screws were far too tight to be adequately loosened. I did get them to back off a little, making the tool transfer from being too tight to use to being usable, but still needs to be a bit looser. There was far too much torque applied with too much thread locker used in the bargain. The pivot screws are of a far too soft material and I'm afraid they will strip if I use any more effort, and YES I do have driver bits of the proper size and dimension and I did use a vise to secure the tool. The design should have included, as a no brainer choice, to use a captive screw where only one side needs to be manipulated. I have yet to decide whether or not to send it to SOG. Those screws may well have to be drilled out, or the tool recycled and replaced. Overall, aside from this, it is a solid, sturdy, adequately well designed tool which has served me well as a daily use edc multi tool.

Good Multi Tool
Good Heavy Duty Multi Tool. Feels new because all the pieces are tight and hard to open. But I'd rather work them in myself. Nice case and attachments.

Nice Tool Light and Useful
There are many cool features: 1. It comes with a bit set and holster that holds everything; the knives are thin and small and could easily break if stressed, same as the saw. It has many smaller drives for Philips and a flat head. if you're in the trades, stay away it will not hold up the stress. Buy something different. for the outdoors and some service guys, it will be a nice tool to have at your side when you need a smaller tool, I would carry a different knife the blake looks like a letter opener and works on small projects. nice pliers, overall it works well for me, and I work in IT

Excellent tool
High quality at a much lower price than a lot of the competitors. Feels good in the hands and covers most of the day to day small tasks that randomly pop up.

Best Brand Around..
I have had every brand multi-tool ever made and this is by far my favorite. Knife is insanely sharp, all of the tools are easy to get open and the sturdiness and quality of the tool is amazing. Does just about everything you could possibly need it to do. Easy to carry with the bits in the case that comes with it. I carry it everywhere I go.

An awesome tool.
Great but not so much for heavy duty work.

Pretty neat multi-tool! Pretty sure it was used sold as new, though.
Before we get to the tool itself, the condition it came in was what left me upset. The box was seemingly un-tampered with, but the tool itself showed signs of use. I bought it new, but this looks like it was repackaged in new packaging. The tool had scratches and dings and other signs of wear in some places. There were fingerprints visible through the plastic before I even opened it (I dropped it out of the packaging onto my bed, just the tool, before touching it with my own hands, and my suspicion was confirmed... fingerprints). The bits had fuzz on them as if they fell on someone's floor and were picked up and put back in their holder (again, I didn't let this fall out when I dumped the tool on my bed). There was a sticky substance on the jaws of the pliers, and it was certainly not oil. It felt and smelled more like thick maple syrup that had dried for weeks. So I'm very wary of this seller now (Camofire), despite their overall positive reviews. (On further inspection, many of those reviews look like they were written by bots, haha) On to the actual product, though. It's alright. It has a bunch of cool features in a single, solid package. The locking mechanism is a little *too* good, but that's not inherently bad. What IS bad is the carrying pouch it comes with. That thing is flimsy and does not hold the tool tightly or securely. I'll definitely be keeping this thing in a different one. The bits are fine, but I'll be using a more complete set that I already have around. The pliers are solid and sturdy, and the various tools in the handle are all good. The standard knife blade is sharp, but not fine; I prefer my knives sharper but it's good enough for daily use, and I'm experienced enough in sharpening that I can make do when it dulls down. However, I'm really not impressed with the fact that when closed up, the handles don't align, and are slightly off-center. I expected better from SOG, even in a potentially pre-owned/used product. It doesn't wobble or bend, it's sturdy... almost as if assembled off-kilter to begin with. Can't tell for sure, but it irks me like no other. But in the end, it's about function, not fashion, so I'll be curious how it holds up. I gave this thing a decent test run after work today, and it functions fine, so I'll be keeping it. Hopefully my opinion doesn't change in the coming weeks while it really gets taken through the gauntlet on the job.
