Casa Cabana

Yet another creative and enjoyable endeavour from Cabana. Each turn of a page brings yet delight, a moment of thrill, an opportunity to contemplate. Sometimes I look at several consecutive pages of the extraordinary photographs; other times I open the book and concentrate on a singular image.If you don't yet know about publications from Cabana, here is a lovely way to introduce yourself to their point of view.

Yes, it has a lot of dishes in it with a few recipes but the pictures of the details of rooms and the ceilings and then pictures of the table as presented to guests is fabulous. The narrations are short and sweet but explain cultural perspectives. If you loved the Cabana Book you'll love this one just as much!

Read carefully because the photos are very misleading. You get one book and not four, and you cannot even choose the one you want.I’m returning this.

An inspiring collection of table settings and details 'Cabana' style. If you love entertaining this book is for you. The essays are charming and the recipes very easy to follow. This is a great gift for anyone interested in design, interiors and home accessories.

Exceeded my expectations!

First of all, to clear up any confusion, you only get one book when you order this one. Those of you who haven’t read the blurb may think that you get all four pictured, but you only get one of the four patterns displayed. That’s fine although I wish that you could choose the cover pattern of your choice. I honestly liked the last Cabana book much better. This one still had all of the color and pattern that you would expect from Cabana, but I felt like there were way too many artsy-fartsy photos. Additionally, what’s up with all of the recipes?!? I do not buy design books for recipes. Does anyone actually try to make these dishes?!? I think not. Overall, this will be going in my pile of books to donate to my local library.

I have Cabana Anthology and purchase the magazines where I find them and each is unique and some travel logs are closer to your taste than others. I guess I didn't realize this particular publication was more about table setting and entertaining which wasn't clear to me when I purchased it. The quality however is always excellent and the magazines are like one of your best picture books every issue.

I was looking for design inspiration This book has only a few images of rooms. Mostly it's a compilation of oversized photos of small details - the leg of a chair, a place setting, a flower pot. I consider it a waste of money.

É um belo livro bem ao estilo coffee table (mais visual do que informativo). As fotos e a qualidade da impressão são ótimas, as fotos priorizam a aproximação com os objetos, porém o livro Cabana Anthology mostra mais os espaços e é um pouco mais informativo (então para quem busca mais os ambientes do que somente fotos em close, recomendo este segundo livro).

The book was poorly collated with pages missing, repeated pages and some even upside down. I am returning my copy and hope to get my money back.
