This is a follow-up review. I liked the brushes when unpacked. But, when I put one on my vanity, I started noticing an unpleasant smell. It was the brush. I washed it and it got worse. So, I soaked it in Dawn...still awful. I threw both away. Should've returned them, but it was a reaction. Don't buy!!

Very sturdy. I prefer this wooden brush to plastic because it doesn’t break. I replace every 3 months due to discoloration of the wood. I have purchased this multiple times.

The product works as described. It is not broken. When I first using the brush, I noticed green matter stuck to a bristle. I pulled it out and let it run down the drain. Then I kept seeing more and more. Finally I stopped sending them down the drain and placed them aside to photograph so you all can see what I'm talking about. I am grossed out by the green junk attached to the bristles. Idk what it is. I am guessing plant matter, but last thing I need is to spread an unknown fungus or bacteria on my skin or to a loved one. I went and examined the second brush, and it had less green stuff, but I still had to pull a few bristles which were affected (not photographed). The first photo shows some of the bristles I plucked out of the first brush with some remaining green junk around the individual bristle. The second photo shows the first brush with the last remaining green bristles intact. I would not recommend since there are other options at this price point. Who wants to "clean" theirs or their child's fingernails with this? Yuck. I cannot believe this is "Amazon's Choice."

These nail brushes are amazing. The bristles aren't too rough and work well for cleaning under my nails. A must have for sure. The brush is wood and very sturdy and well made
