Proper prep will save you
The cutouts for the adhesive is a little weird but fit for the most part. You need to make sure you really compress and hold the extension to the paddle for a good bit. Absolutely do not do this in the cold. Either wait till summer or have the heat blasting while you apply because the adhesive won't form and will just pop the extension off.Mine have been on for about 6 months and have not had an issue. You can tap the extensions at the tips and they won't pop off, so long as you use common sense. Don't jam the bastards down. The paddles feel so much better with these on, contrary to what you'd think with non formed flat paddles. They ARE relatively thick so it takes some getting used to but they work great and they look even better.

looks good, holds strong
Does exactly what it's supposed to do.Pros: Makes it easier to shift using the paddle shifters, easiest to find without looking, looks good, holds strongCons: Not much room between the wiper stalk (an issue for people with big hands, but you get used to it), no instructions on how to apply the 3M adhesive strips

Great buy!
Awesome! Fits my MK7.5R, and dresses up the cabin. Great quality, and helps to provide a cool feel for the quick shifts of DSG.

Looks great but packages came ripped open and the adhesive tape ...
Looks great but packages came ripped open and the adhesive tape didn't end up being strong enough to hold the weight of the paddles so ended up having to use gorilla glue to get them to stay put. Quality shifters, just needs stronger adhesive, or at least mine weren't as they were supposed to be

Meh.
Installing is confusing. The 3m doesn't match the shape needed and is far too thick so they don't sit flush with the paddles. They look alright if you're not looking how flush they are. Thicker than I expected. Not much clearance between these and the turn signal and wiper stalks. Look cool though.

Don't understand the confusion
People are mentioning the confusion of the adhesive cutouts. I don't understand how it could be confusing. If you look at the pics of the 3M adh., you can plainly see that the big part is the same shape of the paddles and the small wedge shaped cutouts are the shape of the lower lip on the paddles. No they are not exact due to the little relief cut and a hole but those don't figure into the shape.I removed one side from the adhesive pads and installed on the paddles and then really worked them hard into the grooves on the paddles. If you do, the grooves match up with the original shift buttons perfectly. I was actually surprised they were made as well as they are. Once I had them installed I sat a small heater on the driver's seat and let it run for over an hour to warm everything up and kept pressing the paddles on intermittently. I don't think they'll come off, if they do I'll reattached with a small amount of epoxy.

They look amazing!
They look absolutely amazing in the car and I've used them so much in the first week that i had them on. The only con is the sticking material that comes with them. Its bulky and does not allow the extensions to sit flush with the paddles. Ill be removing them soon and trying out another option for securing them to the paddles, like 3M tape. Either way, they still get 5 stars and i might buy another set for a friend.
