Q: Would this work well on felt with minimal bleeding?

I don't know how it will work on felt, but it won't bleed I'm sure. I used it on cotton quilt ing fabric and it didn't bleed at all. Felt would be more resistant to bleeding I would think.

Q: have you experience washing a painted fabric? Was the paint after setting permanent? No peeling?

I've had no problems washing the fabric. After it dried I set it with an iron and its been great! Its faded a little bit after about 2 dozen washes... but what doesn't fade then?

Hi! Pebeo Transparent(Light Fabrics) will be your best choice for painting fabrics like bright sunsets for your quilting. The opaque version of Pebeo is used on dark or black fabrics so the color shows. You will also want to use white fabric for your quilts. The Transparent/Light Fabric Paints by Pebeo can also be watered down 50/50 to allow for blending and watercolor effects.

Q: Does this product leave the fabric stiff after application? I have had problems trying to quilt thru other paint products due to stiffness.

I love these paints. I use them for stenciling white t-shirts that I purchase from Michaels (I use a 40% off coupon if I can). I use the t's for p.j.tops and, after they are dry of paint and have been set with a iron, they are never stiff. I have washed my t's many times and the colors are still vibrant.
