Extremely Helpful Resource for Korean Learners
I can't begin to tell you how extremely helpful this book is. I have been learning Korean on Duolingo and although it's a good source, you only really learn the language by reading the literature in that language. And the way this book has been created is truly very thoughtful and helpful. 5/5 will recommend to anyone trying to learn the language. And also thanks to the writers. Gamsamida!

So nice^^
Is book is so helpful. But it's not for beginners. I am a intermediate and I like it so much. If you're a intermediate learner, go for it!

A great way to learn the language.
I liked the fact that an absolute beginner like me could navigate this book with ease. I was able to review what I learnt in a fun way.

Persevere in your reading!
I found this book really impossible even to start reading, let alone enjoy. But I gave it several goes before I realised how much I already knew in Korean.I have the Kindle version which is helpful for going back and forth to the vocabulary, the translated pages etc with one click (or press of the finger), and it did take some getting used to. I really enjoy getting back to the stories now.Stick to one story at first, and see how many words you recognise. I did spend some time reading the vocabulary before reading the story. I read the words out loud and that helps remembering the words afterwards when you see them in the text.Go on, don't give up, it's so magical when you understand the sentences!Happy reading!

Not Beginner friendly But Still It's Content
While being a relatively cheap product for the PDF version, I don't think the setup is the best for the learner. The biggest problem is it being aimed at "beginners" while using relatively rare words. The "stories" moniker is a bit misleading as maybe half of them tell an actual story and the other half are just bog standard texts that you could find on namu.wiki or wikipedia.Complete preference on this part but I personally find no use for the English translation and consider it padding. I'm trying to read Korean not learn how to translate it. If it named for intermediates I would probably give it a 4* based on the low price but it gets 3*'s because content is content, although I don't really see any difference between this book and just reading blogs or news articles.

Reviewing via a friend
I bought this as a surprise for a friend who is learning Korean. She finds the layout of Korean in Western script, translation in English and the script again in Korean to be a great way to learn vocabulary. She always finds it interesting so that is an incentive. I actually was looking for stories like this in Irish, which is how I came across this book, so if anyone knows of one, please let me know.

Great resource!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a beginner struggling to apply what they are learning. It's for beginners but this doesn't mean that it doesn't have challenges. I'm learning a lot and enjoying it.I normally find it difficult to learn vocabulary on my own since I don't have Korean people to practice with, but these short stories are really helping :)

Hmmm
Unless you already know Korean alphabet and Korean words this is not for you. No way for beginners. I’ve been studying Korean for a year before purchasing this.
