These are really cute but with the provided glue they don't stay together very well, especially when it comes to the gems. They're ok just not quite as good as I thought they would be.

As beautiful as you think the Felt Boxes looks on the picture, the less delighted your child will be when she makes them. My eleven year old was excited to receive this kit, but was extremely disappointed at the final product. The felt with adhesive stretches slightly and can be bumpy and need of trimming. As crafty as my child is, she had to struggle to make the felt lay perfectly flat. The small decals/rhinestones did not stick well; your finished product will need additional Fabric glue to ensure that the rhinestones do not fall off immediately when you touch the lid. This is a challenge since the glue must be put on a toothpick and a miniscule amount put on so the the glue does not "goosh" out from underneath the rhinestone. Also be careful to let the glue set for 24 hours before handling the lid again.

This was a great craft and unlike other crafts that just end up in the trash a few days later this one actually gets used. It looks complicated but it is actually quite simple with easy to follow instructions. I love that the felt already had the sticky back making it less messy.My daughter was seven when she completed this craft

my daughter really loved it as a gift but got quickly bored and only made 2 out of 3. it would have been better to have them sold separately so you can choose how many to buy and what size

Bought this set for my 10 year old daughter and she loves it! It took her maybe a couple of hours to finish the boxes without any help. We have bought several craft kits from American Girl Crafts and all of them are really cute and made so that the kids can figure them out themselves... which makes it even more rewarding for them in the end.

Bought this for my 9 yr. old niece who LOVED it. She was able to do 90% of the project herself, just needed a little help with threading a needle. Really terrific inexpensive gift. Highly recommend.
