When I purchased this, I was comparing it to what the Yeacool shovel offers. I was pleasantly surprised that it provided the same structure and similar toolset from the shovel's design.You have to keep in mind this is not designed for hours of chopping and splitting logs, but instead is a survival multi-tool. Which means, in a situation where you need to take down a small tree or cut some arm sized logs, this will get it done. You do however, have to remember to keep the handle tight as it is threaded.The added O-rings were a nice feature to help keep it water tight. More testing should reveal whether it is truly waterproof or water resistant.The compass, was surprisingly accurate. Most imports and inexpensive tools provide a compass that is somewhat comical and reminds me of a child's adventure playset. I compared the reading with my expensive field compass and general directions were spot on.I would recommend this for someone looking for a multi-purpose survival tool. The only downside for this one is it does not come with an all in one carrying case like the shovel, but instead it has a belt loop on the axe sheath. So if I were to break it down for a smaller camp axe, there is the possibility of getting dirt in the threads or possibly losing a part.

The product came well packaged. The ax head is heavy enough to chop but not too heavy to carry or pack. On the butt of the ax is a thick welded-on flat section for hammering. The handle breaks down into 4 sections. Threads are deep and cleanly cut. O-rings are included to keep dirt and water out of handle. Knurling on handle makes for a secure grip, even came with a camo wrap that can second as a bandage. Saw, knife, bottle opener, magnesium rod, whistle, and glass breaker attachments are all threaded and store securely in the handle. Ax sheath is nylon that is stitched and riveted. Overall I'm very pleased. Price is on point if you are wanting a quality camping/survival ax. Nice sharpener included!

Split kindling for 3 days. The compass fell off the fire starter came detached and the hammer side of the axe completely snapped off. Really not happy at all with my purchase.

I like everything about this it’s not heavy but very strong and everything feels very balanced. Had problem with the whistle but contacted the seller and received the new in a very fast manner and they responded very quickly and shipped a new one to me. I am definitely going to get a few more for my sons. They also love how it feels.

I really love this tool. I was able to store bandages, steel wool, sand paper, and duct tape in the tube as well as all the other tools already included. The axe is high quality and the blade holds an edge well, the sharpener it comes with is a great addition to my hiking bag. I will certainly be buying from this company again as their customer service, namely, Sera and Candy are really accommodating and replaced the head case quickly when I had an issue with it.
