I usually buy Higgins’ 25-pound bag of Vita Seed, but unfortunately, the last two bags had bugs that ended up throughout my house, so I decided to switch brands and downsize to a smaller quantity. I’m happy I did! This parrot food mix is fresh, clean, and made with quality seeds. I love that it’s sunflower-free, making it a much healthier option for my bird. My parrot, Kermit, absolutely loves it! He goes straight for his dish every time I refill it. The variety keeps him interested, and there’s very little waste or dust at the bottom of the bag. Worth every penny, because it's free of bugs with the seed! Pros: Great variety of seeds and grains No sunflower seeds — healthier choice Fresh, clean, and bug-free Minimal waste, dust, or smell Loved by my parrot, Kermit! 🦜 Overall, this is an excellent, well-balanced mix that keeps my bird happy and healthy. So far so good... This is my second time purchasing this mix and my parrots seem to like it. I always add fresh fruit, veggies, legumes and many other foods to my parrots' mix, and will do so no matter what mix I purchase. I've enjoyed finding some dried fruits and veggies in this wonderful bag of nutritious parrot food: apples, bananas, dates, carrots, peppers and nuts and seeds. I'll continue to buy. *** I have a Blue and Gold Macaw, Yellow- Naped Amazon, and an Orange- Winged Amazon. I never rely on only a bag of seed/nut mix for my birds. I appreciate that this bag is not filled with corn kernels and dyed things.

Like value. Size seed to small for medium size parrots.

This product use to be good price for what you got .... After Covid expensive and the quality of food has gone down .

First, I want to say that it arrived sealed and fresh and the bag has a zip lock at the top which I love. Secondly, I bought this to add as a mix with my African Greys pellet diet. This food is like 98% safflower seed. The pictures were very misleading. This is definitely not something to feed as part of a main diet. I wouldn't buy this mix again for that reason. Save your money and purchase something else.

The price for the amount is awesome. I also love that it doesn't have sunflower seeds. I like giving my birds sunflower seeds separately as treats, and this seed mix allows me to do that. It also has a really good variety and mixes well with other types of foods. I believe this is the second bag I've purchased, and I will keep purchasing since my Cockatoo seems to really like it also.
