I'm giving this a 5 star because I want to reach out and warn you about this dye. It's not red it's bright orange . When you mix it it's orange, while it's in your hair it's orange. The package doesn't have gloves, it just says to use them. No conditioner for after you rinse out the color. It's just awful. DON'T BUY THIS!

I don’t like to wash my hair too soon after dying it, as maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I feel like it could wash out some? So I hadn’t washed my hair for like 6days after coloring it with this (ok NO, it’s NOT gross when my hair doesn’t get greasy easily lol and I keep it up during this period anyways 😁) but even so, I started to notice that my lighter hairs… ok FINE… a few gray hairs… on top were already showing through, before I’d even washed it once after first coloring. I’m super bummed about it too because the color was so good and my hair was so much more noticeably shiny right after doing it, but that went away rather quickly!? To be fair though, for whatever reason, it seems like my hair doesn’t take, or absorb/ soak up color like other people’s hair does? To the point that Imalways have to leave color on after applying for at least 45-60mins instead of the 25-30 it says, otherwise it does not dye like it should. Maybe I needed two boxes too because my hair is also thick so I was REALLLLY pushing it HARD to get it to cover everywhere… yeah that most likely is my issue now that I think about it.Oh, also I didn’t realize this was a henna dye until reading through the insert?? Could’ve been me overlooking details when purchasing though idk…

So in my venture to find a replacement for my old favorite (Arctic Fox, review there) hair dye that has gone down the drain. I came across this one, having been dying my hair for well over a decade now I have TRIED some things. So this is not the first one claiming “permanent purple” so I was aware it may not work as advertised. I was hopeful nonetheless.-So in mixing I was very concerned as the cream stayed an extremely light purple until 20 minutes into the process. Which to be fair I have seen before.-The formula didn’t stink too bad, I have used much stronger smelling ones, definitely in a well ventilated area though.- After following directions and rinsing it did dry out my hair a bit more than I would like.- So as for color I was only able to get two spots to actually be “bright” purple. Those were the super blonde spots.-Side note: When I prep my hair I don’t like to do an even lighting because then you get a flat “even” color on top. This way you get variation and dimension.- Everything other than the super blond spots turned an “Ash purple” like if purple were denim.- So I was like “Ok fine not what I was going for but I’ll go with it a bit” Unfortunately the next time after just rinsing with water about 90% of the color rinsed out! The bright purple was pastel and everything else was almost gray purple. It was the equivalent fade I would get in 2 months from any “Semi Permanent”So All that being said my journey for a new better purple continues. In the meantime if you are looking for permanent gray purple this would be an amazing choice other than that don’t waste the time and money.

Being a natural brunette I was pleased with the product even though it was brassy! It was gentle on my hair and didn't dry it out as bad as some brands I've used! I will be purchasing from this brand again!

I have used many hair colors over the years, some are a success and some not. I hate to say it, but for me this one was not. It does not have a very good color coverage. I did a strand test first on my roots and then brought it out a little bit on the lighter part of my hair left it on for 45 minutes. This product had very little color. The only good thing I can say about it is that it does leave your hair soft is this a product I will never purchase again.

I have colored my hair since I was in high school. My favorite shades tend to be very dark or very light (maybe because my hair is very medium). The warmth in my hair pulls orange very easily. I over-processed and burned my hair badly last summer. It is still very short, but I have been cutting and growing it back to health. I really wanted to go platinum but I was afraid I would ruin my hair again.This product was VERY easy to use. I liked the way it foamed up on the scalp and provided much better root coverage. I followed the touch up directions because my hair was already colored a lightish ash blonde. 45 min on the roots and 20 min pulled thru to the ends. The ends came out spectacular and stayed soft. There was zero evidence of breakage or damage and my hair still feels healthy.My roots came out much the way they would had I bleached them, in a nutshell, banana yellow. However, I ran cooling violet toner thru it and it corrected the warmth. I find with my hair a toner is mandatory to cut yellow/orange.This product was much easier and much gentler than bleach. I will never bleach again and I am happy I found this product. My only caution is that if you struggle with yellow after bleaching, add a toner as a second step. Photo above of result.

Good color, though at first I was concerned it might be a little orange. Husband agrees its "vibrant" but its not like fire engine red. The kids at the local coffee shop liked the color enough to ask if it was my natural color (compliment? not sure yet).Easy to use and definitely enough to coat my medium length hair. I found it very interesting that it didn't need a after-wash conditioner---and that my hair didn't feel dry at all!Lastly I want to mention the bleeding. Red---as we all know---bleeds like crazy and will bleed like crazy even if you scrub your hair after you dyed it. Just be aware that it will stain white pillow cases. Red hair dye just does that so don't make a negative review based solely on that very common issue. :)

This washed out of my hair in a week. I have dyed my hair before and never had color not stick. It does show up purple on my brown hair but I was hoping for a bit more longevity.

5 stars - this is the best cream paint without powder lightening and tinting at the same time in my last two years ago I recommend this product and will buyI hope this product will not disappear from sale

This product is worth every penny , wish I could turn time back and only use this , my hair is destroyed ..I am a tough critic for hair products as I have tried them all and rarely does anything help, this colour feels different , highly recommend and will only order from now forward .

Does what it says on the box

This was the first time I've used this dye today and I love the results, my hair feels absolutely incredible and is super shiny, and it's the best shade of purple I've found so far. The texture when on your hair is thicker than previous dyes which stops it dripping altogether and it smells much nicer too. Very pleased indeedy.
