My 16 pound furball gets matted quite often. He is very difficult to groom as he is extremely fidgety. He is currently mat free thanks to this tool. He lies down for this brush and lets me work out the knots. Very happy cat lady here!

Our puppy's hair tangles and gets mats very easily, this works very well but the puppy can only tolerate it for short periods of time. I do recommend everyone to start at the tips of the hair and work to the base slowly and hold the hair at the base as you work your way down.
