Love/hate relationship. Had trouble right from the start. I bought this to use with a 12 volt battery, solar charger and dusk to dawn switch as accent lighting under the eave of a garden shed that lacks electric supply. When it arrived I tested it with a motorcycle battery. The remote wasn't working properly. After a lot of fuss it changed a couple functions then quit. Only a few of the features/colors worked. Thought it was a battery issue so tried it with a 12 volt, 1 amp battery maintainer and it worked great. So, I bought a $35 medical battery and mounted it on my shed. Now that it's in the cold WI weather, only about 5 of the blue LED's light up so I am missing out an many colors. What does work looks fantastic under the eave. The other issue is that the remote only works when it's within 3 inches of the sensor. The medical battery wasn't up to the task so I now have a deep cycle boat battery hooked to it. If I had more money invested, I would demand a replacement but I guess I'll live with green and red. You only get what you pay for.

UPDATE 12/19/19while the lights perform flawlessly, hot glue I used to adhere lights inside failed. Will update again when I find a fix.Lights are super bright! Lots of features to control the lights is nice. I used the lights to put in a 40 gun, gun safe. The adhesive on the back of lights is garbage. Would not adhere to the metal interior at all. Had to use a hot glue gun which is what I would recommend. The remote is a bit cheap but does the job. The other thing that I don't like about the remote is that you have to have it pointed directly at the receiver box in the safe to get it to work. Had to strategically attach it to the outside of safe pointing twards receiver, which I had to place close to the front of the safe on the floor. Other than that I love the nice light in the safe.

It doesn't come with a manual and the instructions I find online doesn't seem to allow me to set custom colors/patterns. So that cost it a star. Otherwise the coloring on it is very nice and easy to set existing presets. Mounting is easy however there's 2 problems worth noting. Heating and cooling affects the length of the lights. This means that it'll bunch up and unstick. The other problem is the strength of the mounting material. If you install it on a ceiling for example, it'll eventually fall off. So I recommend using plastic bracket mounting nails to hold it in place and stretched out.

The light worked perfectly they get really bright and really dim. All the colors are vibrant, i love it. i only have two minor problems. The adhesive could be better, after about a week it started to come down but some tape fixed it easily. The only other problem was that after about a month of having the lights up and running the remote switched around the color columns so now the red button turns the lights green and vise versa. But overall the product works great.

Works great. Remote is way more buttons than probably needed. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize it didn't come with a power adapter. I luckily had one in the box of old power adapters that was the right voltage (12volt). The don't have much flex in the way I wanted them to but I found it could handle 90deg turns pretty well. Glue from the adhesive didn't really work on wood. I wound up using a low temp hot glue gun to stick it to wood. -1 star for poor adhesive.

This is a great light set - easy to hook up and get going. I have it hooked into my RV and it works great off my 12v system. My only complaint would be that the self-adhesive in my case did not hold the light strip up, so I had to use epoxy. But I have a wood surface that's a little rough, so maybe it's just me!

Lots of options on controller but I have no idea how to work them ,no manual. Changes to tons of bright nice colors. Remote dies or something, I reset connection and I'm able to change color but then stops working. Changed remote battery but no change on behavior. Taking appart today to understand more. Lights work great except control box for me

the adhesive is not too strong so im having a hard time to stick it. but all of it works good. i just found an idea to stay put in my wall. thank u! i love it!
