Practical and works for sanding
Coarse grit is 60 grit. The sanding power is there. However, the paper breaks often closer to the top edge of my square sanding machine, and so I change the sand paper out frequently due to breakage. I waste a lot, but for the price, I have no complaints. I'll still buy again.

found it quite acceptable (and a great price), and then placed a subsequent order for ...
With some trepidation after reading negative reviews on Amazon, I purchased packs of Fandeli "coarse" (= 60 grit), 100. and 220 grit. I purchased the pack of "coarse" first, found it quite acceptable (and a great price), and then placed a subsequent order for the two finer grits. As some reviewers have commented, the paper backing is slightly "thick" (one might call it "substantial") and is a bit "brittle." What I mean by that is if I fold the 60 or 100 grit paper (I haven't gotten around to the 220 grit yet) with sand surface to sand surface and then CREASE the fold between my fingers, the paper begins to crack and separate along the crease. So, for my 1/3 sheet orbital sander, I don't need scissors to cut the sheets into thirds. As long as I know where to put the crease, its very easy to right-size pieces. The potential negative aspect of the creasing to make pieces (and the reason for four and not five stars) is that when one has to bend the paper to put it into the retainers on a hand sander, or into the jaws of a sanding block, or simply wants to wrap a bit around a small square stick to get in to narrow places, I'm a little afraid that if I bend the paper too roughly, I might crease and tear it. But, I must say that I have so far bent the paper into my orbital sander, a rubber hand-sanding block, and around a 3/4" square stick, and it has held up without ripping just fine! It appears to me that there is a difference between folding it with the sand-surface out (which did NOT tear the paper even when wrapped around the relatively narrow, square stick) versus deliberately creasing it with the sand-surface "in" to deliberately separate it into pieces. If this "tendency" holds up with further use, then I'd probably award the paper five stars - I simply haven't used it for long enough to be sure. One helpful aspect of the "thick, slightly brittle" paper backing for me is that I have a Makita orbital sander with a vacuum attachment that requires use of a supplied plastic jig to punch holes along the edges of a mounted one-third piece of sand paper. The Fandeli paper punches easily and pretty cleanly.

It sands well and the price is right. Durability is marginal.
This sandpaper works pretty well. But:Update: I have found that this sandpaper tears (rips) a little too easily. Even when I am sending something that is smooth, the paper will sometimes rip and need to be replaced. It's not a terrible product.. But, I was hoping it would be a little more durable.

good stuff
best sandpaper I ever used, tough yet long lasting

Nice and thick
they seem to last long enough, and because they are thick, they hold easily in my sander.

Finer than 60
The regular 60 grit was unavailable and this is finer as if 80 grit is sold as 60.Ok, takes longer and I can get the result. With more effort. But I did not like it.
