Easy to set up. great for kids!
bought this for my 6 year old who loves to play it. it is easy to set up in the back yard for the day and easy to take down at night. we also take it camping, so its nice that it breaks down into 3 sections. the pole has some movement where the sections come together so it is far from what i would call a "professional" set. but it works great for us.

Not for older ages.
This tetherball set is basically for little kids (ages 3-5). The ball is not like the original tetherballs because it's a soft plastic with no firmness to it. We might as well have used a nerf ball instead. Assembly was easy but pole that screws in the ground didn't seem stable and you have to have a relatively soft patch of gras to screw it in and be stable to play.Adults and teenagers played with this product and it took a beating and was never played with again.

Tether ball
Lasted about six months then fell apart. Ball molded easily outdoors.

Best puppy entertainment!
Awesome toy for a dog, or i guess a group of young children too! Love that it will be easy to pack up for beach days. Easy to assemble. Little difficult to get the air into the ball. The ball is ok quality, might not last for long if teeth get into it but can always upgrade to a sturdier ball. For my uses, its totally worth the 40$.

Used junk - flimsy
I paid for a new tether ball set. I received a tether ball post that had clearly been used, as dark mud was caked on the post and the paint was scratched and chipped all up and down the post. The ball was ripped open and there was no pin to fill the ball with, if it even could hold air, despite the claims that one would be included. Despite the fact that I received junk that I wouldn't have bought at a yard sale, if I had received a new set, it's flimsy, wobbly and won't hold up to a rigorous game by excited kids or dogs. Hard pass - This has been promptly returned for a refund.

Not Strudy or rust resistant...
I have only had this set for 2wks and it is already rusting. There hasn't been any rain storms. There was ONE slight drizzle that lasted at most 3mins. So, even though this states it for outside, it's best you take it apart, and bring it INSIDE EVERTIME you're done using it... If you don't want the rust factor. Also, it is not sturdy at all. Everytime you hit the ball, the pole goes with it. We even put cinder blocks on the bottom thinking that was the issue. Come to find out, there's just too much wiggle room between each pole, so there's really nothing you can do about that. The poles do not interlock tightly, so the movement is soo extreme you have to adjust the pole after every hit. I suppose you could try taping the poles to stop that extra wiggle... But who has the time or energy for all that at the end of the day! My family and I were extremely let down by this set, and we would definitely not recommend it if you're looking for fun without a headache.

Great fun game well worth the $$
This is a great set up for a fun backyard game. Adults and kids alike. It’s fun and easy to play even alone great exercise. I used concrete to keep in place with no problems at all. You will need to dig a hole to keep it in. It’s made to play tetherball not to swing on the post it’s not playground grade but for $20 it was well worth it. We will see how it stands up to New England winters but I’m sure it will just need a quick spray paint in the spring. Very happy with this purchase lots of fun for only a little money comes with a smaller ball good for kids but easily upgradable through amazon! Ty!

Best for dogs or young children. Good buy for the price and for a "practice run"
The media could not be loaded. For $20 some dollars I couldn't be happier. You're expecting something for young children or a dog, at that expense. My dog LOVES her tetherball. I do disconnect it from the pole if I'm not supervising her play, for fear of her getting wrapped up in the string .. but even then she plays with the ball on the ground as well. Works really great for her and keeps her entertained. I live in Ohio, our ground is never that hard, between rain and snow and everything else.. sometimes I have to move it to a new spot, but it keeps hold long enough and I like being able to move it as well. I would probably keep this one as a transportable tetherball, since I like to camp and travel, but I would buy a more expensive one in the future that I could plant more permanently into the ground for the home, since now I know that she will play with it an enjoy it so much. Definitely keeps her active and happy.
