3DS Car Charger

I had this item for a total of two days. You get what you paid for, right? You MUST, at ALL TIMES, make sure this thing has an open air flow and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING covers it in any one place. At all. If you do not follow those instructions, it will begin to overheat and burn out, possibly even start a fire. You can and WILL smell it rather easily -- you just need to pay attention to it.If you do get this, keep these things in mind:- Make sure, when it's not being used, to unplug it.- It will overheat at the slightest anything, so make sure you put it away from blankets, pillows, dashboards, etc.- Always make sure you know what your kids are doing with this device and if they're actually treating it right.

On the end of this charger is a ground that is spring loaded. The end of the charger screws out and there is a fuse in there with a spring below it. The spring is not long enough to push the fuse up to the metal ground piece on the end of the charger, therefore, no connection is made, so the charger will not work. A better spring or something is needed in order to push the fuse up better. This was a new product and shouldn't have to be worked on for it to operate properly. A person would expect to have to work on something used, but not a new product. After I got that fixed I tried to charge a 3DS with it and it started smoking within a few minutes.

I bought this for my son to use with his new $200+ 3DS, and boy did I make a mistake. I know you get what you pay for, but in this case I didn't even get that. After just a few uses , the charger began smoking as my wife was alone with my kids on the interstate. Luckily the only damage was the charger and the 12v accessory outlet in her truck.Im a frugal man, but I wont make that mistake again with aftermarket chargers from china

Works, yes, but it gets really very hot after just a few minutes of use. I've used it only twice and probably won't use it again. If we need to charge the DS in the car for a long trip or something, I'll probably just buy a better-rated brand.

This charger worked in my car for two weeks and all of a sudden stopped working when I needed it the most. Very disappointed

Plugged into my DS and charged for a few minutes then started smoking. This is not a Nintendo brand charger. Spend the extra few $ and get a better brand.
