First off the bins and lids themselves are great. Sturdy, well built, stacks really well, can even lock. The problem is with their QA and customer service. I got a bunch of these. They come 3 each (3 lids, 3 bins). On two occasions i got 1 less bins and 2 extra lids. So 2 bins and 4 lids (refer to image) what am I supposed to do with just lids? Emailed them about, got what is basically a "that's nice, we will look into it" response. Had to deal with Amazon directly to resolve. They are not cheap but you do get what you pay for, given they ship you what you actually ordered.

I ordered the 5 count, 3 gallon. They arrived in one piece and are actually larger than I thought they would be, which is fine. I saw the measurements in the description and should have known. I’m using them for something heavy and they seem sturdy so far but I would imagine they can crack under too weight. I mean, they are plastic not metal.I liked the idea of the holes at each side for a lock in case you want to attempt to protect something inside but after wasting my money on several locks, I realized how useless they are. Only one hole lock on each side will not prevent anyone from opening the lid. The lid still can be opened from the other corner without a lock. It would have worked so much better if they added two holes on each side for a total of 4 locks per container. I mean, let’s be honest, even with locks, of someone wanted to see the contents of the container bad enough, it would be easy enough to take a hammer to the plastic or even a good pair of scissors. But again, even with the plastic material, it would have been if the locks were actually somewhat functional in concealing the interior.So my advice, don’t buy these in the hopes of trying to hide what’s inside because it’s pointless. But they are pretty good containers to store items and sturdy enough.

It is true the plastic is not thick. You can't beat these to death without breaking. But, they are huge, have a nice large handle, and wheels which roll easily. We are putting work out equipment in them for our home gym. If you are planning to place a lot of heavy stuff in them (say 30 pounds or more) AND you plan to roll them around, you will have issues. Heavy stuff without rolling is fine, or light stuff with rolling is fine.The biggest issue was that they are shipped in a single layer cardboard box with no padding. One had a broken lid. Amazon took care of it, so that was just a minor disappointment. With better packaging, this would not happen.
