Drills, the way drills used to...
Drills aren't what they used to be, they snap like carrots, but these drills live up to the Bosch reputation, they have been in daily fuse or months now on metal, plastics and hardwood and they seem to be as sharp as day one. Buying cheap drill bits is a false economy...

Sharp but cheaply made
I was disappointed to find these Cobalt bits are made in China where the Multi-Purpose bits (blue and silver ones) aren't. I find these don't run true and have a bit of wobble to them which can make a massive difference in cutting efficiency. They're very sharp and cut well, took me a while to drill through a 5-6mm thick steel pickaxe head mount, just disappointed they aren't made to the same quality as the Swiss made blue bits.

Great for drilling out locking wheel nuts, but be gentle with them
Worked as intended, drilling well through hard metal. I did shear 3 parts off the tip of the 8mm, but I feel that was down to a lack of experience widening pilot holes - I caught it hard into the edge. I had been pre-warned that cobalt makes a bit brittle, so this wasn't unexpected given my lack of skill. Use cutting fluid (I used water - probably fine for temps but bad for lube?) and go slow. Twice the price of the Heller set, but that has its own issues (in that half the time you get the wrong set). I'm happy with my purchase. If I need 8mm again in the future I will buy a single Heller from Toolstation and then I'll be able to compare the quality difference. One thing that flummoxed me a bit was getting into the box! Turn it over and find the tab to break off, or you'll be as stumped as I was!

Worth the money..
Good quality drill bits in a good case. Unlike other drill bits these actually drill metal without going blunt on the first use!
