Mouth piece is garbage everything else is great
I think this is a great camel back. I’m a biologist who works in various field conditions that can go from cold to hot. I really wanted a pack that keeps my water cold and has a nice cover for the mouth piece. I’ve had many of these sacks before and I am particular about certain things. The first being is I wish that the lid to the sack was attached because when you’re filling it up you have to put it down and it’s just more convenient to have it be attached, but also not that big of a deal. Secondly if you leave water in there for a couple days with out emptying it, there is a particularly plastic taste that gets in the water so I’m forced to clean it more often which is probably a good thing. But what I really really don’t like about it is the mouth piece. I usually go for ones you just bite and pull out and push back to lock and was looking forward to one with a mouth piece cover. You can tell the mouth piece cover is really bad design and never even stay on! When I put my pack together it often falls and and spills my good water! I really hate the mouth piece cover I wish mine stayed on so I don’t stick it straight into poison oak. Overall otherwise everything is great! It does keep ur water cool, usually the top layer is hot but it gets colder with just a few sips which is normal. You could also probably use the insulation bag to store snacks if you really wanted to. Overall great size but the mouth piece sucks ( no pun intended)

Keeps your water cool!
I got this hydration bladder to go on a hike in the desert where we'd be out for several days. I expected the heat to bother me since I am from a much cooler climate. I liked that this insulated bag and insulated hose kept the water nice and cool all day. The bladder has a large opening so you could even put ice cubes in your water if you wanted to. I ended up not needing ice cubes because the insulation was good enough to keep the water cool during the day. It's easy to fill up and easy to wash it out later. I even managed to use it one-handed after accidentally slamming my fingers in the car door upon arrival at the trail! The insulated bag makes lifting the bladder out of your pack for refill very easy. Then, you just slip it back in and put it in your pack and off you go. The bag also keeps any condensation from getting on other items in your pack. I carried my camera in a bag next to it with no problem. When I got home from the trip, I tried to take the bite valve apart to clean it. I then could not get it back on the hose. I was bummed. The rubber is so stretchy that it would take more than two hands to get it back on. Not to worry. Diaz Sport was great about it. They offered a full replacement. Their customer service is awesome. I would definitely buy from them again. The product is sturdy and should hold up for many more trips. I will avoid taking the bite valve off when I clean it next time. I am looking forward to using this again on my next trip to the desert this spring. It will also be great for shorter day hikes near home as I can just fill it partway and go. It holds 3 liters, which is plenty of water for a day hike. Oh, and the lid that holds the water in is a threaded lid that you screw onto the bag. It is leak-proof. I was surprised, but the design is good and it did not leak at all during three days in the desert. Overall, this seems like a sturdy, well-made product that should last a long time. I like it.

Great Service!!
I bought this bladder 2 years ago and was impressed with the sturdiness of the bladder plus the options of connectors for the mouthpiece. The added bonus is that it came with a thermal bag - great for keeping your water cold (or your lunch/food). I recently took it on a hiking trip to Colorado and a short ways into a hike I realized the connector was broken (I guess I stepped on it!). I looked back at the sellers terms and I contacted them. By the time I arrived back home, a brand new bladder was waiting for me! This bladder is different to the initial one I got (but the same as depicted in the graphic). The top can be fully opened for easy cleaning, still comes in a thermal pouch but the hose does not have a neoprene cover - which was kind of nice to help with keeping your water cool or to stop it freezing. I have not tried the new version yet but plan to this weekend. Thanks for the great service!

Good design, well constructed, useful package
I have not used this yet, but I am impressed enough with the construction to comment now. Bag is a genuinely useful and well constructed addition to the bladder. It will protect the bladder, provide a means to contain any leaks, and control condensation, as well as provide insulation. The outer fabric and stitching are excellent, and look to provide a long service life. The aluminized inner liner looks to be functional, but I fear it may eventually tear. This could be prevented if there was a light woven inner surface glued to the liner, or simply sewn on top of it, thereby sandwiching the aluminized foam between two more durable fabrics. The bag has a nice carry handle, but I do wish the bag also had some webbing or other means to strap the bag to the outside of pack or back of a Jeep seat. All this might raise the price a couple of dollars, but would be worth it for the increased life and longevity. Still, when bought with with a bladder, the bag is a steal, costing just a few additional dollars. As some have mentioned, the insulated draw tube is another plus, with a smooth fabric covering , and thereby an extended life.Overall an excellent value, enough that I expect to purchase a second in the next few days.I’ll update this review as I gain some field experience with it.

Well insulated, easy to fill, but sprung a leak after 1 week.
The media could not be loaded. Needed something insulated with a large capacity to stay hydrated while working as a delivery driver. For the first week, this was perfect. It kept my water at least at or below room temp while sitting in a hot van all day. While cleaning it the night before a shift a week after purchasing it, I noticed that it began leaking from the seam in the bag itself. I hadn't been rough with it whatsoever, in fact when I was using it I left it hanging on a hook the entire shift. This is the only reason I wouldn't recommend it.
