SOPHi Nail Polish Non-Toxic Water Based Eco-Friendly Safe Enamel Lacquer 0.5 oz | Out of the Cellar

I am very sensitive to odours and chemicals, this is the first ever nail polish that agrees with my nose. I put it on my toes and it lasted soooo long without even putting a top coat.

li ho presi in quanto hanno ingredienti validi per essere degli smalti per unghie...sono per adulti ma hanno gli stessi ingredienti dei piggy paint per i bambini quindi ok...bei colori, non vengono via con acqua ecc ma solo con un apposito prodotto per rimuovere gli smalti e tiene abbastanza bene (tende un pò a scheggiarsi sul bordo dell'unghia ma se si mette anche il top coat tiene un pò meglio)...quindi ottimo...piuttosto si cambia qualche volta in più ma almeno non ci sono solventi e altri ingredienti aggressivi e quando lo si toglie l'unghia non è brutta come con gli smalti a solvente!

Bought this item on its own thinking it would be enough but its not. Chipped within 20 minutes regardless of how many coats applied. I guess you need all the items they recommend.

I bought my first SOPHi because I am pregnant and don't want the horrible stuff most nail polish has. It is one of the best-rated polishes on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Skin Deep Cosmetics Database. Using the polish alone will lead to chipping, as people have noted on here. The 'good' side of this is you can add more layers on top of the chipped polish and the new paint seamlessly covers the old nail polish because the product is water-based--so there's no clumps. The bad news is that most people don't want to be repeatedly painting their nails. In my case, I prefer knowing that I am not putting any reproductive disruptors on my nails so I just repaint. I am currently using the nail polish with the recommended primer and top-coat duo to ensure longevity and durability. I also bought the brand's remover because it is true that it can take time to remove the old polish. I've never used acetone to remove it, though. Before buying the brand's remover, I used Ella+Mila's soy nail polish remover and it works fine. You have to let the remover soak in for a few minutes (just like with Ella+Mila nail polish) and then it comes off. All in all, I do recommend this brand because it's a risk-free polish that requires just a little more work without the worrisome ingredients that the majority of polish has. Lastly, when applied to toenails the polish alone (w/o the primer and top-coat) does great and doesn't chip as frequently.

I’ve used this brand for years but this color “out of the cellar” is just perfect. It is a deep, yet soft red with light sparkle and looks fantastic. Like all Sophi nail polishes it has no smell, last at least a week when you apply it at night and are removed easily with alcohol. The reason you apply it at night is so it has time to dry for at least 6 hours without contact with water.
