The only protein powder that does not upset my stomach and actually taste good. I love it.

My favorite protein powder. Mixes well. Great taste. Blends well with fruits into smoothies. Also makes a great protein cream shake when blended with banana almond milk.

Has a very slight planty taste but nothing major, blends well in smoothies and even in oatmeal (though definitely changes the texture). Love that there are zero flavorings which is exactly what I wanted.

UPDATE July 2017: I recently purchased another bag of the product and indeed, there is a strong and noticeable artificially sweet taste now present. Very much a bummer. It overwhelms my green smoothies almost entirely. Even though I found this powder considerably smoother/better blending than Garden of Life Hemp powder, I don't think I'll be buying it again. ////old review below/// i make strong vegetable heavy smoothies in the morning and this powder rounds out the taste wonderfully. i'm sensitive to fake/sugar tastes and didn't find this in any way negative. after i purchased and threw away the package, i noticed other customers saying the formula had been recently changed. i just reordered another package so we'll see if i notice anything, but otherwise i recommend this. it's very very smooth and filling but not overly so

Ordered this for my wife whose doctor gave her a strict list of supplements that she can take as a result of being diagnosed with Hashimoto's, and having a sensitivity to lactose. She said the ingredient profile is spot on (she's advised against taking any milk-based protein product). I deducted a point because she said it didn't mix as well or taste as good as my whey and casein-based powders, but to be fair, she has tried a number of powders recommended by her doctor and she says there are mixability issues with all of them. Also, this is expensive for the amount you get, but every powder her doctor has recommended has been on the expensive side.

A lot of protein supplements have artificial sweeteners and other unhealthy ingredients, Garden of Life is organic, healthy, and has a good flavor; I hate the taste of peas (which extends to pea protein), but GoL mutes it enoughI don't notice it.

If I could give this product less than one star, I would. I cannot have dairy (or dairy derivatives), so I am used to strange and weird chocolate flavors. However, this smooth chocolate flavor is the most disgusting chocolate flavored anything I have ever tasted and is not "smooth" at all. It has an artificial flavor that is overwhelming and a horrible aftertaste, even when I blended the one scoop of powder (the recommended serving size) with almond milk, ice, and frozen fruit. I will be switching to Naturade Vegansmart All-in-one Nutritional Shake, Vanilla, 22.75 Ounce or Vega Protein Smoothie, Choc-a-lot, Pouch, 9.2 oz . My favorite is Vegansmart, but Vega Protein Smoothie is a good alternative with fewer calories. Choc-o-lot has the same amount of protein and fewer calories per scoop as Garden of Life. Vegansmart has more calories, but it also has vitamins and supplements. The extra vitamins and minerals added to Garden of Life's smooth chocolate product do not make up for the awful flavor. I took two sips of the drink and threw it in the trash. The flavor only got worse with the second sip and was still that disgusting.

I wouldn't say it's delicious, but it is palatable. It gives me a surprising amount of energy, but it also makes me almost instantaneously starving after finishing my glass. That said - if you need protein and have tummy problems, this is definitely a good option!
