Exactly what I needed.
I put these on the inside of my rub rail. Great lights. Really bright on the lake.Only bad thing about them is the wire connection that's soldered on the strip. This is the 2nd time I've replaced the strip due to the wire/wires being pulled loose. I've learned now to add a heat shrink tube to keep it in place.

Fantastic buy, adhered to my boat under the gunnel ...
Fantastic buy, adhered to my boat under the gunnel and attached it to my on board dimmer, works great... Glad I bought one with a dimmer prior to this purchase because it came with a direct battery connection only. With my dimmer previously installed I am allowed to turn it off and on or dim it with the remote control. If you would like this function and I recommend it, get the remote dimmer and connect bothe strips, one on each side of the boat and you will light up the lake!!!

Good, can be modified to be better.
These are okay lights to start with, depending on your plans. For indoor stuff, probably fine. But in my opinion they are not quite suitable for use on a boat or outdoors without some modifications. Since I bought this to stick under the gunnels of my boat, I went ahead and did some fixing.First of all, the original tape is absolute rubbish. The backing paper has a “M” printed on it, but don’t think for a second it’s 3M. The first thing I did was carefully remove the old tape. It was time consuming but not as time consuming as trying to fix it when it when it inevitably fails, and the light falls off of whatever you’re sticking it on.After replacing the tape with 3M VHB (works great for everything, buy in bulk, you’ll use it)...I was still left with a few other tasks. I split the strip into two ~8’ sections. On the cut ends I put a small adhesive heat shrink sleeve to seal the end from water wicking into it. Pinching the end of the heat shrink with a pliers while it’s still hot is all you need to do to seal it reasonably well. You need adhesive heat shrink, not just the normal stuff.Aside from the original adhesive tape, I was also not impressed with the length or the quality of the original wiring pigtails. The original wire is very thin gauge and easily broken. This wire is not easy to attach to existing boat wiring and it will not last in a harsh environment. I removed the original heat shrink sleeves over the wires, desoldered the old wires, and soldered on a generous length of 18/2 tinned marine wire. After that, I re-heat shrunk the connections and everything was ready to install.I believe these changes improve the quality and reliability of these inexpensive LED strips to a level that is equal to or better than strips that are sold as “boat LEDS” for a whole lot more money. While they are still not suitable for underwater use, for most accent lighting on boats and cars, they are perfect after these changes.

Bright and easy to install
Need to expand my night fishing green light range so, got one strip to test and was impressed by thebrightness even in daylight. Getting 3 more strips and will make a 4 ft. green light stick,if that workswell, then make another 4 ft. green light stick, going to light up the lake! On my lake I will probablystill get run over.

Great for crappie fishing.
These lights have been great. I cut them into 30" strips and encased them in clear PVC pipe with battery packs to use as underwater fish attractant lights. The "sticky" on the back side is poor, so I used silicone. But otherwise, they are great. I plan to buy more to go along the underside of my 5th wheel.

Very happy
Excellent product! I have attached them to my semi truck and they work very well. It is sticky enough to stay in place but i also used clear silicone to help plaster them in place and the LEDs are very bright.
