No Instruction, Lengthy Workout, But Very Challenging
I got this immediately after my doctor released me to start exercising again. I also have her first post-natal DVD. My first experience with Tracy was doing the Pregnancy Project. In that program she provides clear instruction for every move and counts you through repetitions. If you like that, then you won't like this. Unlike her first post-natal DVD, she is completely silent through all 55 minutes of this workout. What's worse, it's 75% mat work, which means that if you're watching her on your TV (and you likely are) then you have to crank your neck up to see what the hell she's doing. I can't tell you how many times she's switched to another move before I realized I was behind. Also, there are some movements that I'm unsure if I'm doing correctly. I try to watch her, but since you're not getting 360 view, and she provides no instruction, it's totally guesswork as to whether or not I'm targeting the correct muscles. Also, and I've already mentioned this, the program is 55 minutes long. FIFTY FIVE. My infant son has only allowed me to get to the end of this workout once. Also, you might notice that the box says, "One of three complete workouts." I have no idea what this refers to. There is only one workout on the DVD and no other companion post-natal DVDs that I could find. Also, it recommends a yoga mat or towel. That's all well and good, but she also uses 3 lb dumbbells and ankle weights. You wouldn't know this unless you got started and saw her using them. All this having been said, the workout is very good and really works my entire body. She engages the abs from lots of different directions so I know they're getting worked, even if I'm not doing old-fashioned crunches. My glutes and legs are totally destroyed after the leg circuit as well. I can already feel my body changing and getting stronger. If you love Tracy and her Method programs, then you might like this. But I recommend ripping the files off your DVD and putting them on your phone or tablet to have on the mat in front of you. Also, don't feel guilty if you literally never see the end of this workout. You're a new mom and that's a pretty important and special thing. My final take: Get her first post-natal DVD instead. It's still long, but she talks you through the whole thing. It is more ab-centric and very difficult, but much more enjoyable. Or, just get one of the million other programs out there that are shorter, cheaper, more instructive, and (probably) just as effective.Update: The more I do this workout, the less I like it. One thing I noticed right away is that the sequences on each side are very lengthy. Each time my baby interrupts me and I have to stop, I'm left with a very lopsided feeling. The entire workout leaves me wondering if she totally forgot who the customer for this program is. As a new mom, having just given birth for the first time, I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting a program that is A) effective in helping me get my figure back, B) I know I'm doing safely (especially true for cesarean moms), C) I can complete and feel a sense of a accomplishment. Instead, Tracy Anderson has made a long and boring workout that should be broken into multiple bite-sized pieces and vocally cued to make it work for new moms. Go ahead an skip this one.

which kept me in great shape and made me a TA fan
I used Tracy's Pregnancy Project workouts throughout my entire pregnancy, which kept me in great shape and made me a TA fan! After I gave birth and my doctor cleared me, I worked out with her first Post Pregnancy DVD which focused mostly on abs and she really takes her time and talks you through it. Its tough but gentle compared to her other workouts.THEN, I bought this one to add to my collection. I would have my baby on an activity mat next to me or she would be napping. Luckily she is an easy going baby and has allowed me to finish the entire workout. There were a couple of times that she would cry and I had to stop, but Tracy encourages you that it is okay and just do the DVD as much and as long as you can. Even if its just the arms section. Tracy jumps right into the workout with warmup and arms then total body work on the mat, finishing with abs and cool down. Its a total of 55 minutes. There is no instruction, so in the beginning I had to watch her constantly which made it tricky to execute some of the moves correctly. I decided to count her reps and she does 30 reps with each move. Once I knew how many reps I had memorized the entire workout and would do them while counting to myself. I actually like that she doesn't say a word in the workout. It really allows you to get the most out of the workout without having to pause and hear her explain when you already have learned it. I actually brought this DVD, my yoga mat, the 3 lb weights and the leg weights on vacation a month ago to find that there was no DVD in the beach house that we rented. I had already memorized the entire workout, so I just did it without the DVD while my little one napped. My body shape has changed and I have lost weight. The moves are extremely challenging but with practice, I got better at them. They work!! I LOVE this DVD.

It works
I started Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis on November 2017. In February, I find out, I was pregnant so I switched to her Pregnancy videos. I am now four months post-partum. For the first 4 months of my pregnancy, I really controlled what I ate but for the last 4 I fell on a carb addiction and end up gaining 22 kgs. Since I had a C-section, my doctor released me for light workout at 1 month. I started doing Post Pregnancy 2 without the abs section, and just some reps for legs, not the 30 as the video instructs for legs. When I had a month (2 months post pregnancy) doing the DVD I really regained my strength and started doing the 30 reps. At 3 months post pregnancy I add the ab section and combined this DVD with her Post Pregnancy 1 dvd.The DVD starts with arms, then legs, 30 reps each movement, first all exercises in one leg, then the other, in this two sections are like 40 minutes. At the end is the ab work. It’s about 55 minutes long. It is a difficult workout but effective.I will really recommend her two post pregnancy DVDs, the abwork in the PP1 is amazing, regained my ab strength in a month.I do her dvds 5 times a week, do a Low Carb Diet with intermittent fasting, and yoga. I’m still working to get to my pre-pregnancy jeans size. I already switched to her Metamorphosis method again.

I absolutely love Tracy Anderson and I adored her Pregnancy Series
I absolutely love Tracy Anderson and I adored her Pregnancy Series. I was super excited to see this newer Post- Pregnancy workout and purchased it for as soon as I was cleared to exercise after delivery. I have to say I am totally bummed that she does not talk at all through the workout! I know some people think talking is annoying, so if that's you, this will be an awesome fit for you! I personally prefer a little instruction or heads up as you go and found this DVD difficult to follow (even being very familiar with her other workouts). I'm going to continue trying it for a bit longer to see if I can catch on enough to get a workout out of it and will post an updated review if my opinion changes.
