AirfixQuick Build Messerschmitt Bf109E Aircraft Model Kit, Multi-Colour, J6001

I was looking for an intermediate scale between 1/32 and 1/48 to go with my 1/32 WW2 figures and 1/38 scale vehicles and this worked perfectly. The wingspan measures exactly 10 inches so this puts the scale right at 1/39.It was easy to assemble even for an old 66 year old like me, not having built a model in over 40 years. Took me maybe 30 minutes? I definitely needed the instructions though. I think this model could have been made with fewer pieces.Once together I noticed the wing assembly was not that solid so I glued the smaller pieces that make up the wings. I also glued the little red knob to the propeller to keep the propeller from popping off once assembled.Once I applied the decals I then sprayed a few coats of Krylon clear coat to permanently adhere the decals.Will definitely get the P51 and Spitfire models.

The model is 20 cm (l) X 30 cm wingspan. Quite small than expected. Packing case damaged in transit.

Fácil de montar para los peques, sin necesidad de pegamento. Las piezas encajan muy bien y queda muy resultón una vez montado y colocado en la peana. La única pega precisamente viene de la peana, ya que si se monta la bomba en la parte inferior del fuselaje, la peana en su posición normal choca con la pieza y esta no puede colocarse. La solución es girar un poco la peana de modo que, aún rozándose, se mantenga en su sitio.Muy recomendable.
