90 Degree 3.1 USB C Male to Male Cable(3A)

I don’t like for cables to be in the way, and these keep the USB-C for my SSD or external recorders out of the way while also reducing the length of cable you need for your rig. In order to charge my phone in my neoprene phone pouch (sized to fit both my Samsung Galaxy 22+ phone and my Anker Powercore Slim 10000 PD) I wanted to have a cable that would support the Samsung Fast Charging (but not Super Fast Charging) that this external battery supports. Eventually some company will make a similar, phone-size/phone-shape slim charger that supports Samsung Super Fast Charging, but we're not there yet. So as to fit neatly in the phone pouch, I wanted a cable with right-angle USB-C male plugs on both ends. I found three here on amazon, but couldn't figured which would be best. So I ordered all three to do some comparison testing to report for all three cables. Here are the three I bought, with my analysis of each. zdyCGTTime: The cable is short (~20 cm/7" between the centers of the two plugs). The cable itself is thick and stiff and doesn't bend well. When plugged into a wall charger that supports Samsung Super Fast Charging, the cable also supports it. However, I found that the USB-C male plug would lose the connection with my phone when it was jiggled so I discarded this as an option. AAOTOKK: this superficially looks similar to the zdyCGTTime cable, but longer (~32 cm/12.5" between the centers of the two plugs). Like the zdyCGTTime, the cable is thick and stiff and supports Super Fast Charging. Unlike that zdyCGTTime, the plug fits securely in the phone's USB-C socket and no amount of wiggling causes it to lose contact. It supports Samsung Super Fast Charging, and even if the longer cable is heavier and bulkier, the length allows it to lie next to the phone/external battery so fits better into the pouch. If my external battery supported Super Fast Charging this would be my choice. KOOWOD: like the AAOTOKK, this cable is longer, but the cable is thinner, lighter and much more flexible, bends easily and sits happily in my phone pouch next to my phone and external batter. It does NOT support Samsung Super Fast Charging, though it does support Samsung Fast Charging. But since my external battery only supports Fast Charging, I am using this cable.

I originally got this for my tablet, but I thought I'd try it with my new MacBook Pro 14." I use it mostly as a desktop replacement with a 4K monitor and a few USB-A peripherals. It has 60W of charging power, not super fast but enough to keep the MacBook charged on my desk. It looks great and seems sturdy enough to last a long time, just sitting on my desk. As one other reviewer mentioned, the USB-C plugs are a bit long, and don't go in all the way - maybe 1mm exposed - but not a big deal and hardly noticeable. Works as it should.

Used this on the meta headset to connect the extended battery pack. Works perfectly
