What is the difference between the professional blend and the pl blend?

Beneficial bacteria breaks down algae, reduces ammonia and nitrogen and improves oxygen levels. Use to maintain biological and mechanical filters, and dissolve waste and debris. Microbelift Pl is the only pond product with photosynthetic microorganisms that does the work of 3-4 competitive brands, in short, it has natural live organisms which actually eat fish waste, and decaying leaves. Use when water temperature is above 45 degrees as your Primary Beneficial Bacteria. Promotes clear and clean water. A must for any pond. I’m using the professional blend along with a product called Nualgi Ponds to control string algae, and the two products together have done a great job. Very little algae and crystal clear water.

can this be used if an ultraviolet light filter is also running?

Thanks for your question. The UV will kill all free floating bacteria cultures in the water, however beneficial bacteria prefers to adhere to surfaces rather than float through the water. Reviews mention sulfur smell with use of Microbe-Lift. How long does it take for the smell to dissipate? Would you use in pond adjacent to kitchen?

Thanks for your question. It only smells for a few min to an hour - until it mixes well into the water. The smell dissipates fairly quickly and I would not see any reason you could not use it in your pond near the kitchen.

Can I use this in my aquarium? It says in description but then only pond....

Yes this will work in an aquarium however the dosage is designed for much larger applications, depending on your Aquarium's size you may not get through the entire quart before it expires.
