The Only Foundation I’ll Use — Dewy, Hydrating, and Finally a Shade That Matches!
I’ve tried dozens of foundations over the years, from high-end to drugstore, and this is the only one I keep coming back to. It gives me that rich, dewy glow I love—without needing to set it with powder—and actually feels good on my skin. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and makes my complexion look smooth and naturally radiant. One of the best things? It actually matches my very light skin. That’s incredibly hard to find, especially without going into luxury price tags. The undertone is just right—no weird orange cast, no ashy finish—just a seamless blend that looks like real skin. And the price? Honestly, it feels like a steal. It performs like a foundation three times the price. I stock up on it because I’m afraid of it ever being discontinued.Pros:✔️ Gorgeous dewy finish—no powder needed✔️ Hydrating, breathable, and lightweight✔️ One of the few true matches for fair/light skin✔️ Doesn’t cling to dry patches or settle into fine lines✔️ Super affordable for the qualityFinal Thoughts:If you want a foundation that’s hydrating, gives a beautiful skin-like glow, actually matches pale skin, and doesn’t break the bank—this is it. I’ve completely stopped searching. This is my holy grail.

I keep coming back to this one
Let's start with my skin type so you'll have a sense if this review will be helpful for you. Even though I am 52, I have a moderately oily t-zone and normal-dry cheeks, mild-moderate redness due to rosacea and moderately textured skin. Wrinkles are quite fine and rather superficial.I use this foundation over a HA serum, moisturizer, and a red color corrector.Longevity: Solid! After10 hours or so, I do see some breakup on my nose and chin but it isn't horrible.Shine: Compared with other matte foundations, I find I have to powder far less than normal. My skin looks matte right after application and takes on a light glow after a few hours. My nose and forehead gleam a bit, but it's nothing compared to others.Oxidation: None!Skin Texture: I'd say I see light to moderate texture with this. It looks a bit heavier in my smile line area and between the eyebrows than a skin tint, but that's to be expected. No creasing, however.Coverage: I apply with a damp beauty sponge. I use about a pump and a half of this over green color corrector and am happy with the solid medium coverage. If I use a brush or my fingers, the coverage level is definitely higher.Overall, this is a foundation I keep coming back to, especially if I know my day will be filled with video calls or I need my makeup to last.

Catrice Foundation
Great price. Good coverage. Would not recommend for mature dry skin. It goes on very powdery and settles into wrinkles and has a drying drawing affect. At least for me. Has good pigmentation, goes on easily and did not have build up the coverage. For me, it how it sit on the skin after application that was the draw back.

Drywall plaster! Avoid!
I was so excited to try this after seeing multiple beauty influencer demos. What a disappointment. I don't know on what planet this is supposed to be "lightweight, buildable and hydrating." I applied a couple of "pumps" of the product and when I went to blend it, it smeared across my face in a thick layer like drywall plaster that completely obliterated my natural skin tone. It started drying and becoming chalky almost instantly, so I struggled to get it to blend which meant basically smashing it into my pores. I looked like a cadaver. I tried to wash it off but my regular makeup remover barely made a dent, so I had to get anti-grease dishwashing liquid to remove it.The color also seems off. I recently got the Catrice True Skin High Cover Concealer in 002 Neutral Ivory and the color works on my fair skin. So I got this foundation also in 002 Neutral Ivory thinking they would match exactly. They don't. The foundation is probably two shades lighter than the concealer, which is fine if you're an albino.Overall, Catrice has some explaining to do. This product was a waste of my time. Please don't advertise it as lightweight, buildable and hydrating when you literally need anti-grease dishwashing liquid to get it off.

Too drying and caking
I have sensitive acne prone combination skin and this foundation does not break me out. This foundation is not hydrating at all. It does tend to cling to dry patches and dries cakey. It also makes my pores and texture look huge. The coverage is full. It does cake up around my t-zone so I do have to touch up after a few hours. I have tried multiple different types of applications: sponge, brush, etc and it did not help the cakiness. The color match was a little light for me as an olive skin tone person. I got 018 due to the warmer shades running too orange on my usually so I try to stick with cool or neutral undertone. Had to return unfortunately.
