Finally! Donna Summer Casablanca Titles Remastered
To say it has been a long time coming that Universal Music upgrade Donna Summer's early catalog is an understatement It has been in most cases (except for Bad Girls given an upgrade in 2003 with a Deluxe Edition) 20 years or more. And of course it takes Universal Music Japan to do so. Come on Universal Music U.S.A.! Despite the exceedingly high prices for these Japanese titles, her first CD Love to Love You Baby sounds refreshed and I was struck by the improvement. The difference is especially heard on the tracks that follow the 16 minute version of Love to Love You...Improved sonics such as bass and I even heard some instrumentation I hadn't heard on the older CD. The CD also comes with a fold out white insert complete with English lyrics and Japanese lyrics. On this insert it clearly says "24 bit remastering." I think there had been some question whether this CD and the other 7 titles reissued (I Remember Yesterday, Love Trilogy, Four Seasons of Love, Once Upon A Time, Live & More, Bad Girls and On the Radio Vols. 1 & 2) were remastered. Well based on this title, to me is sounds like the answer is yes. I look forward to hearing the others when they arrive. Happy listening to all you Donna Summer fans. Donna R.I.P. your music lives on sounding better than ever.

Classic
This 17(?) minute version of the title song compares with the 17(?) minute version of McArthur Park. Both are unmatched in a strong continuous rhythm through multiple phases. Playing McArthur park while driving can be dangerous. I've always enjoyed it on skinny, twisting country back roads late at night --- matching the upbeat rhythm to the highway stripes flying by at around 72 MPH. It was a daredevil rush for many years. Not much CAN published HERE about the best listening activity for "Love to Love...." Adults: Try it.. you'll like it.

I love the main song
I love the main song. The rest is just okay. I would like a whole CD with just that song Love to Love you Baby.

An irresistible, intoxicating, seductive, moaning symphony
"Love To Love You Baby" broke the disco craze into the monster that it became. Donna Summer surely was the disco diva. Mega-hits to dance the night away into the wee hours. I remember the first time I heard "Love To Love You Baby". I didn't catch fire immediately. Then I heard it between the smoke and sizzle of some hot, dark and sweaty club. Man did it hit me. Your blood burns through your veins and brain. It goes on and on. This sweaty moaning was too hot and it went on and on and on, and you didn't want it to stop. It was like a drug. This was disco and the 70's. Without Donna Summer disco wouldn't have had the heat and intensity that climaxed into a decade (almost) long love affair. I'll never forget it! ps: the rest of the LP stinks!
