Extremely comfortable and easy to install on older T50RPs, some reduction in bass punch
Kinda TL;DR: These pads are *extremely* comfortable for someone with big ears, and actually fit older Fostex cups without the newer lip for pads like the MK3s have (with no stretching/breaking at all). They do reduce bass punch/rumble (can't *feel* it as much) in comparison to something like Shure 840 pads. I'd like a bit more punch to bass ideally but at the same time I can still hear it all and I feel that instrument separation has improved. Very happy with these overall. Installed on T50RP MK2s with the baffles mass loaded with Newplast clay and felt and foam pads inside the cups, installed in the Mayflower Electronics mod kit style.I bought these pads for my T50RP MK2 headphones (the ones with no small lip around the edge of the cup for the pads to grab, unlike the MK3 models). A little background to provide some context and in case it can help someone with similar experiences:I've had my MK2s for around 8 years and bought a set of what I think are Shure 840 pads (with the white stitching) shortly after getting them because as you probably know if you own them, the stock pads on the MK2s can be quite uncomfortable, being too thin and causing the ear to touch the back of the cup/the driver. I have ears that stick out quite a bit from my head and this problem was even worse. The Shure pads were a BIG improvement, and have served well for the years I've had them. For many people they are probably adequately deep, but my ears still would slightly touch the driver, only becoming a little uncomfortable after a couple hours or more, but still a slight issue. I can't speak to the sound difference of the Shure 840 pads vs stock, as I took the stock ones off as soon as possible 8 years ago. Also (and I think this is an issue specific to the Fostex MK2 headphones and older) the Shure pads were *really* difficult to stretch over the headphone cups. In fact mine ripped slightly all those years ago and to their credit never came off on their own after, even going in and out of a backpack many times, but still, not ideal. So in late 2020, I decided it was time to finally upgrade as the Shure (pleather?) material was beginning to flake of in spots. After a lot of searching I found these pads. I wanted deeper pads with a more squared off pad profile rather than the rounded profile of the 840 pads. These also advertise compatibility with Fostex models which was a nice plus. These pads were very easy to install on my MK2s with basically no stretching at all, so I can verify that claim. In fact they have the freedom to rotate on the cups (they're not loose though), but I don't take issue with this, the openings are oblong so it makes it easy to adjust in case you want the angle slightly different. They are also angled slightly, which wasn't something I specifically wanted but I am glad the are as it adds some extra room for my big ears. They have solved all comfort issues I had with these headphones, they are super comfy and my ears never get sore, even after 5+ hours of wear.On the sound, I immediately noticed a reduction in bass punch or rumble. I can still hear all the bass but I can't feel it as much as previously. I don't know if this is due to the perforated leather or the increased distance from ear to driver (probably both). Overall with the mods I have done in addition to these pads, I feel like instrument and vocal separation has been improved at the cost of some bass punch. For me it is an overall improvement despite the reduction in bass punch. Of course YMMV.For reference My T50RP MK2s are modified partially with the old Mayflower Electronics mod kit (I think it's the same thing they sell these days), installed according to their "T50RP MK3 - Modification Guide - Mayflower V1" YouTube video, with the exceptions that I didn't use the cotton sheet or the felt they stick right on the driver, and I don't have the vents at the back of the cups closed even partially.

a bit difficult to fit to TR-X00 but much better sound than stock pads and total worth the trouble
I will start with the negative. I bought this for my TR-X00. The sleeve of the pad is a bit too wide and covers the latches of the white plastic ring. it was quite a struggle to snap the ring onto the headphone. After it snapped on, the pad will not be rotated freely as the stock pad, so you need to adjust the earpad properly before snapping the ring. But it is all joy after I managed to install the pads. The air channel of this pair is much bigger than the stock and Dekoni premium, so it is over my ears rather than halfway between on the ear and over the ear. It is much more comfortable and feels more steady than the stock pad and the Dekoni premium, more importantly, the sound is more clear and crispy. My pair of Ebony TR-X00 have a wolf tone (extra vibration at a certain note). While it is not completely gone, it is mitigated to a large degree. I To rank my three pairs of pads, this pair definitely is my favorite, while the Dekoni premium pleather the least favorite.

just brilliant
Compared to the stock t40rp mk3 pads or brainwavz xl velour or sheepskin pads , these are more open ,airy and relaxed throughout the mid and top which allows detail to shine through without over prominence , bass is still great but i would suggest more even handed with layering of heavy synth bass being more detailed and observable than any other pads i have on hand. My t40rp mk3 have a couple of small mods ( can vent opened and driver backing tape removed and front baffle foam under pads removed but still with foam baffle liners inside the cans) so stock t40 users might find the top end becomes burdensome for long periods of use . super easy to fit and really feel and sound like they were made just for these cans . also tried with heavily modded t50rp mk3 with similar results but shure 1540 are still the champs on the t50 , hint , how about some perforated suede or alcantara pads for the fostex txxRP series , some suede or alcantara pads for sennheiser hd 600 would be nice too.
