As a gum-addict, I had chewed the store brand gum for my whole life, going from Trident to Extra to whatever I could find on sale and indulging in the ever-loved bubble gum balls. I had heard about Xylitol but I didn't pay much attention until I had a root canal and decided to take another look at oral care. I switched to an all natural toothpaste and decided to go with Xylitol gum and cut down on my sugar intake. I expected the gum to taste terrible since it was a healthier alternative, but this gum is awesome! It holds the flavor longer than I expected, and is just the right size to chew with just one piece instead of needing two. It's safer for my teeth so I feel better about it. I have tried both the peppermint and spearmint version and like them both, but peppermint always seems to me to be more of a breath freshener than spearmint, so I usually go with this one. It is in health food stores but is far more expensive that way. I always buy it on Amazon because the price is so much better. I haven't paid attention to whether it's the same seller or varied sellers, the product is the same and I always like it. It's truly all I have chewed for over 16 months now. My dental hygienist asked me what I was doing differently as she hardly had any work to do for my 6 month cleaning; I told her I'm using natural toothpaste and chewing this Xylitol gum. I'm not brushing more frequently and only cut back on sugar in my diet. So, I figure, the little extra I spend on this gum, if I do, is far less than the amount I am saving in dental work!

If you're expecting a gum to chew on for hours and hours, this isn't it. The pieces are small, and the flavor lasts for 5 minutes top. So why the 5 stars? Because I don't like the act of chewing gum, it bothers my jaw and teeth. However, I do like having nice, pepperminty, fresh breath. And that's what this gum does. After a four course meal at a Thai restaurant or one meal at a Korean restaurant, and I pop 2 or 3 of these in my mouth, , the pain of bad breath is gone. I think what's also great about this gum is that it helps to create a lot of saliva in your mouth, and that really helps to "wash" away the bad breath. The best part is that it's made with Xylitol, so my super-health conscious hubby approves, and we can give a piece to our 5 year old without feeling guilty. Research the benefits of any Xylitol gum... but I've tried a few different brands, and we always come back to Spry!

I bought it for the Xylitol content. It tastes refreshing, but it doesn't last very long. Takes two sticks to get much benefit.

I like that it’s got xylitol in it but also that it helps when I often have a dry mouth . Until this problem is figured out, I’ll keep popping these to keep my breath and teeth fresh and healthy

Good value for the money. I taste good and large enough to feel you are chewing gum.

I really like the natural taste, it does stick a bit on my older fillings, there's no glycerin in it so I expected it to be less smooth. I only chew max 10min as in the dental program it is said to chew 2-10 min max to allow saliva to produce from the xylitol. So, for the 10 min or so I chew these the flavor is full on for the entire time. I haven't tried it for longer. I am going to buy the 1200 count mints as well in peppermint as it's a little more convenient during working hours, I don't chew gum with clients around! All in all it's a very good quality product and much cheaper than the Dr Ellies brand, I think it's equal in quality.
