Yes, totally authentic and is exactly like the one I’ve purchased at my salon for double the price. You do need to actually get a Brazilian blowout in your hair first and then use the products to keep your hair straight. Without the blowout first it’s nothing more than a conditioner

Many reviews above say the product isn't authentic. How to know if it's the real deal if it's the first time you've used it?

I cannot say for sure if it is the authentic product. I was concerned that it was not sealed. I've only purchased the actual product from a hair salon a few times as its so expensive, and have bought it from Amazon dealers for about 3 years. I have long thick hair, and am a senior citizen who washes my own hair. I find the product, whether it is the authentic product or not, is the only product that allows me to easily wash my hair, then comb it out. I'm satisfied, but would like to know myself if it is the authentic product.
