This is really just a temporary fix, but it does the trick, definitely. My soles were a bit worn and missing some paint before the pictures.This paint is a bit brighter than the actual Louboutin red, but the color difference is not terribly noticeable. Granted no one will really see the sole, the color match matters! We paid too much money to be waking around with off-red bottoms! ☠I sanded down my soles, covered my CL's in painters tape and used a paintbrush to apply the restorer to ONLYwhere the bottom comes in contact with the ground, and after a few coats, I used the high gloss finisher. You NEED the finisher! I initially thought it looked too light, but after a while of drying I barely noticed the difference. Like I said though, this is just a temporary solution. I would not recommend using this method alone. You will be repainting your soles every time you wear them! I recommend going to a cobbler and getting sole protectors placed on them. I will be sending mine to The Leather Spa.. I hope this helps!

We are detail freaks, I bought this paint to restore one of my wife's pairs of Louboutin's but had my doubts as to the color match. I must say, the color match is pretty close to perfect, you cannot tell where the original paint ends and the new paint starts. After applying three coats of paint, I then applied two coats of Angelus High Gloss Acrylic Finisher just around the edges that aren't covered by the sole protectors that I also bought on Amazon, which are obvious in the photos...

I tried painting heels red using this product for my wife and after many experiments here is what I concluded:1) doesn’t matter how light the strokes or how little paint you have on the brush, or which brand brush you use, you will get streaks.2) the only way to avoid streaks is to use a makeup sponge and blot the heel very gently. It won’t be perfectly smooth like a real LB but it’s the only way to get the closest look.3) if you are using this to cover up damage to your LB the color is really close in which case it does exactly what you need.

I use this on my Louboutin when I buy them preloved! I use a light sand paper to get the bottom of shoes clean and then paint this over it, and then when dried I add 3m film over the sole and then look good as new!
