life changing enlightement
I always thought that investing was for people with lots of money and fat paycheck and not for an ordinary person like me. I am not a numbers person nor I studied finance. I could never imagine that I would be able to read and understand stock exchange data. My vision would blur with one glimpse on all those numbers in red in green! However, it all changed while I was reading Millionaire Teacher and Millionaire Expat of Andrew Hallam. Of course it took me a while to get out of analysis paralysis situation but I am confident now that I can invest on my own and know how to find info and support if ever in doubt. These 2 books are life changing enlightenment!!

The single investment book EVERYONE should read!
When I was younger I got burned by so-called 'investment advisors' in Dubai, who are really commission-based sales people rather than having a fiduciary responsibility to you. It was a good learning experience, as it forced me to start educating myself. One of the first books I read was this one, back about 12 years ago... and I have not looked back since. I invest for myself, understand everything that is going on in my portfolio, and am paying only around 0.1% for my investments, rather than the (crazy!) 2.5 to 3% fees I was being charged by the charlatans back then, and I'm getting MUCH higher returns. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone of any age to read this book and start down the path of investing for yourself. His second book (Millionaire Expat) is also excellent, as it specifically tells you where/how to invest based on your nationality. BUY THIS BOOK - IT WILL BE THE BEST INVESTMENT OF YOUR LIFE!

Opinion of a 40yr old: Read and Gift this to all ages asap, read this all ages!!!
Professor Allan, many thanks to you and “Chapeau”! I wish I was one of your lucky students!! Many books we/i found myself pushing through to read and often tough to keep interest in reading, you sir have a true talent!! One of the easiest, simplest, entertaining and to the point styles. Written with purpose and compassion! Wealthy education for anyone who can read, any age, the younger the better but never too late (I am in my 40’s). I am only on page 88 out of 230 and I had to write because it is well deserved! For the person who reads this review, I hope u will enjoy as much as I and share it with many because many countries seem keen to educated us away from the intelligence of economy.

This is not a get rich quick book. It is an excellent book on investing. One of the things about life is putting your money to work for you, and investing is one way to do that. There are some things that I appreciate from this author:* This author does not use the word "greed" in a loose way. In other words, he doesn't say nonsense like "greed is good", nor does he try to redefine greed as investing for your future and having money to do stuff with in life. In fact he points out what greedy behavior is in reference to investing. I am just tired of the misuse of the word "greed" from some authors. It does not do justice to the concepts of a successful and truly happy life. This author knows the difference between greed and successful investing.* The author does not lead you along, speaking in a vague and high-level manner, hoping to sell you expensive workshops where you can finally learn what you need to do. When you finish this book, you can implement what you learn from it. In fact, well before you finish the book, you will be able to take action. He lays it all out very clearly, and is specific in details. Also, you can take what he is writing about and research it further online. Other authors talk about things at such a high level that at the end of their book, you still don't know what to do next (except maybe sign up for their workshops and pay lots of money in hopes of them actually telling you).If you would like to further research the topic of investments, he mentions a number of books (written by other authors) that you may buy to further your knowledge, but it won't be necessary if you just want to get started investing. If you are afraid of investing, or if you are curious about investing and what you need to do and know (and what to avoid), this is the book for you. It could be your last that you'll need to get started and break through any fears regarding investing.

A great book. Wish I'd read it when I was younger.
A must read. Explains how to build savings the most effective way and is a really enjoyable and informative read to boot. It's changed how I save for the future and I'll make sure my kids read it too.

Great book, well written, very informative. A bit repetitive. You need to read Millionaire Expt too to be ready to start investing.
